I kinda wish I hadn't already bought tix for Atlanta so that I could have gone to Philly instead. :( Never been there. Either way, it would be awesome. Just read an article that said "Jay Z has decided to go vintage for his upcoming Made in America music festival" with having Pearl Jam. Vintage. I like it.
You could always sell your Atlanta tickets, no? Made In America public onsale is 10AM EST today, you can still get tickets!
I know, don't tempt me! :D But only 2 day passes are available. :| I got one day for Atlanta.. that will be good enough this go round. And then continue to wait for them to come to NC.

i will just have an open house pool party with PJ blasting all weekend for all of you to swing by during the weekend and rub it in that i'm not going. i'm still hurting from not seeing Stone on Monday with my bud YoullSeeDragons but I just had too much going on Monday night.

I doubt it, but do you think the tickets will come for each day of the event, meaning if you didn't want to go to Day 1 you could sell that to someone else?

I didn't think they would but they do. There is a seperate ticket for each when I downloaded them yesterday.

Haven't been reading the thread but does anyone know the difference between the two price points? (135 vs 99 tickets)
Like will the 135 GA's be closer than the 99's?

135s go on sale when the 99s run out, which must have happened already. Same GA entry for both.

Yeah, what is with this? I can't find an explanation anywhere. The $99's are sold out on ticketmaster. I would like to know what the $135 gets me before I decide to purchase.

This is ridiculous that there is no explanation. Seriously not cool.

that's lame. I wonder if the band agreed to this thought process. seems to me its an abrasive way to treat your customer

135 ga is the same as 99 ga..all festivals do the same thing they usually have 2-3 stages of GA priced tickets such as early bird specials once one price stage sells out it goes to the higher

Can anybody from TenClub shed some light on this? I know this is a festival and it's not being run by Pearl Jam, but this seems like a really underhanded move on Jay Z and the organizer's part. It appears that they said, "Okay, let's see how demand is for the $99 passes and if they run out quick we'll charge $135 with no further explanation!"

I would bet that I'm one of the biggest capitalists and fiscal conservatives on this board, but even I think that this is a dirty move. Especially with no explanation and no indication that the $135 gets you anything better than the $99.

I would really like an explanation.

as i said above this is pretty standard with festivals and has nothing to do really with it being budweiser or jay-z..most festivals will have an allocated amount of tickets for each ga priced stage and most will have 2-3 levels till it reaches its max price

Every festival has early bird tickets that are cheaper than the others and go up as time goes on.

A couple examples, it's the exact same thing.

The explanation came when the ticket prices were announced. There are a limited number of $99 tix. They want people to buy early. Once the determined # of tix runs out, they raise the price. It's not dirty at all. $135 is still a good price and well worth it.

What makes it wrong? The seller determines the price of their product. The buyer decides whether the product is worth the price.

Why do you say it's underhanded? All the announcements have indicated that the $99 for 2-day passes were limited. I suppose you could say "limited" is up for interpretation and it's anyone's guess on how many were designated as $99 and maybe they just jacked it up as they pleased, but that would be pure speculation. Ticket info is laid out here, and yes, prices go up a few times more: http://www.madeinamericafest.com/ticketing.html

All the festivals I've seen so far have had the cheaper tickets if you get them early and when those "run out", the prices go up. This does go up a few steps which seems like overkill to me, but to be fair, the final price of $175 for a 2-day festival seems standard.
