Lookie the number of pages here ...
how boring would it be without his kind

Yes, how boring it would be without people threatening to murder the president and the security of state of the United States. It's all fun, right?

Funny you talk about your lack of freedoms then when some reacts and asks you to talk about how your life has been impacted by a lack of freedom you disappear. Keep up the talking points though.

wrong. thats exactly what Nugent is doing. Complaining on/in/to a forum.

I'm having a hard time seeing how people here that I have the utmost respect for, even though our political views are polar opposites can applaud or defend Nugent.
    He's clearly a misogynist asshole.
And worse yet, he has stated in interviews many times his "addiction" to young girls. By young I mean underage.
Read some of the guys lyrics to songs like "jailbait". Let's not forget his tender love song called "girl scout cookies", where he uses the cookies as a metaphor for fucking the actual girl scouts.
He's fucking sick, and i can't understand how anyone would back him, or applaud him.

If that's who you want representing you in the political, and activist arena, more power to ya.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

    Carry on.
    Nooooo shit.
Certain members of this board (ok, maybe it's not plural) like to muddy the waters in regard to the catholic church's ongoing policy of protection of rapist clergymen, by decrying it as a problem with male individuals and society in general, not something the church should be held accountable for, because it brings so much love to the lives of so many. Commenting on all those sick men out there who 'want their virgins younger and younger' etc etc, in order to deflect criticism of the church itself, and it's policies....

Yet in this thread, Nugent is applauded as some kind of hero; a model for the kind of person amurica needs more of.....while completely ignoring the first-hand allegations of incitement to rape, and lyrics/behaviours like those you've posted above. All because it's inconvenient to their bias to acknowledge.
    The hypocrisy is palpable.

I fail to see how Nuge's 40 year history somehow drags down who he currently is, when I am constantly told that Bill Ayer's much worse history no longer matters. You want to talk hypocrisy how come an old rocker saying some slightly humorous hyperbole (and finishing by reminding everyone to go vote) deserves a meeting with the Secret Service anymore then the NBPs posting a WANTED Dead or Alive bounty and advocating racial violence, or NOI/Farakhan threating that in a couple of days people were going to kill their leaders.

Who said anything about believing anything either way? I used the word 'allegations' to the only part of my post that is unsubstantiated. (have to chuckle at having my gullibility questioned by the fox news guy). I was just pointing out that some people are beyond blatant in ignoring what doesn't fit their agenda. Disagree, fine. Just don't completely ignore a counterpoint then continue debating as if nothing was said.
As for the rest....deprived, lacking self worth, attention/encouragement seeking etc.... whatever man. You're here too, fighting the same battles...so take a look in the mirror before you start slinging that shit.

true it is a shame and a screwy deal. but ya don't scream up and down about what would have happened if one was there, if one was present. boy o boy if i was in nam i woulda killed everyone in my path....

that aint cool to say and it makes the person look like a large idiot. ted nugent would not have done anything super-hero like nor would he have been drug free over there. ted nugent would have been a heroin addicted soldier most probably.

he is not as brave as he wants us folks to believe he is. others got drafted and went to war. ted didn't. which is fine (not really but whatever) just don't spout off about being a secret rambo badass who makes vietnam lucky he didn't show up.

Ted Nugent booted from Fort Knox concert line up

    http://www.tennessean.com/article/20120 ... nav%7Chead

Fort Knox, KY - The artist lineup for the Fort Knox annual summer concert scheduled for June 23 no longer includes right-wing rocker Ted Nugent.

Co-headliners REO Speedwagon and Styx remain scheduled to perform. However, after learning of Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation, according to a report by the Courier Journal in Louisville, Ky.

Army Entertainment and the Fort Knox Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation remain committed to carrying out the June 23 concert, and the possibility exists that a replacement will be selected.

Nugent was scheduled to be the concert’s opening act.

asked with protecting the president, Secret Service personnel decided they needed to talk to Nugent, 63, after his remarks at last weekend's NRA convention in St. Louis in which the longtime gun-rights and hunting activist and conservative said, "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."

In a statement on his website Thursday, Nugent said he met with "two fine, professional Secret Service agents" in Oklahoma -- he's playing Thursday in Ardmore -- and called it a "good, solid, professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone. The meeting could not have gone better."

I think I'm 15 years older than you and Ted is 7 years older than me, tales certainly change
as do our heads over the decades. My idea of who exactly I was 40 years ago,
well truthfully I can't recall  I might tell you I could dance like no ones business
and it might not be spot on.

I really think he thinks he would have been badass and would be very much so now
if he was having to fight the good fight.

I don't stick up for him, I don't know much about him, never said I liked him,
I just try to see him without bias. He has a huge ego and a character to match.
He's done some good and I'm sure some not so good
    as we all have.

I think you are right though Chad when he does this it devalues those who went
and coped, it is insensitive to those who had to be badass to survive.
Those who carry the scars of war for a lifetime and wish they didn't have to.

i have a bit of a ego myself. i myself think up some pretty hugely outrageous things to do and say but i don't act on 3/4 of the stuff i could act on. i believe in ted's case, he thinks or doesn't think stuff up and he acts on it no matter what.

pooping and pissing yourself and living in your very own foulness to avoid being drafted is fine just don't tell others if you'd have severed all hell would have broken loose. truth is that is all talk. ted shoots guns and bows very well. good for him for being a good hunter. he isn't a soldier, he isn't a veteran, he isn't quiet when he should be, he isn't cute in his statements, he is a redneck cocksucker, and mostly he is afraid.

my question to ted is this... have you ever been in a fist fight? have you ever been beat down and do you cry and bleed and have you ever abused a women?

i personally think ted is all talk. but he isn't stupid. and he isn't lazy. those are things i like in a person; intellect and ambition. ted has achieved his dream/goal. now just stop screaming about killing everything in your path, ya dick.

most especially the couple of things you did find to admire
and any kinship you could feel as far as ego and stuff

thanks ... I think people have enjoyed it

From my experience... people who talk big shit are typically bullshitting liars. Ted is a real tough guy when he has the gun... and the wolf he's aiming at doesn't. Put an AK-47 in the hands of a North Vietnamese soldier and drop ol' Ted off in their jungle... my bet... he ain't talking so tough any more. It's a lot easier when the animals that shoot back.
It's the quiet ones that usually end up being some fucking ass-kicking bad-asses (case in point, check out top notch fighter pilots, Marine Recon, Army Rangers, etc... You won't hear them boasting about how tough they are).
    ...
The thing that I need to have explained to me is this... how does a draft dodging, child abandoning, deadbeat dad/statutory rapist (who had the parents of a 17 year old girl sign him over as her legal guardian) become a darling of the Conservatives?
    Someone, please, clue me in.
