In the definition of the American Dream by James Truslow Adams in 1931, "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" regardless of social class or circumstances of birth.
....
You've been claiming this doesn't exist anymore for years. :nono:
I wonder why it's called the American dream? Maybe because when you wake up you realize it's horseshit.
A medical report compiled by the family physician of accused Trayvon Martin murderer George Zimmerman and obtained exclusively by ABC News found that Zimmerman was diagnosed with a "closed fracture" of his nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after he fatally shot Martin during an alleged altercation.
The record shows that Zimmerman also suffered bruising in the upper lip and cheek and lower back pain. The two lacerations on the back of his head, one of them nearly an inch long, the other about a quarter-inch long, were first revealed in photos obtained exclusively by ABC News last month.
A neighbor told ABC News that the day after the shooting he saw Zimmerman as he spoke to officers outside his home. He too recalled seeing black eyes and significant swelling -- as well as a bandage over his nose
Moments after the shooting Zimmerman told eyewitnesses he shot Martin in self defense. He later told officers his head was being pounded into the pavement and that he feared for his life, but that it was only when Martin seemed to reach for the gun wedges in his waistband that Zimmerman drew his weapon and fired directly into Martin's chest -- killing him.

again zimmerman should not have confronted him. he got his ass kicked because martin was fighting for his life. people are capable of causing great bodly harm when they are fighting for their lives. zimmerman most likely thought he could go and punk trayvon and trayvon would not do anything. if that is the case he thought wrong.
zimmerman is guilty.
he started it and finished it when he realized he could not push trayvon around.

these stand your ground laws are not holding up. there were two cases last week. one of them the shooter that used stand your ground as a defense got convicted and got 20 years.... and she did not even shoot anybody...

A medical report compiled by the "family physician" of Zimmerman? Hey dad, beat me in the garage and take me to the doctor, would you please? Otherwise, I'm going away for a long time.
The coverup began with the "voluntary" detention, ahem, I mean arrest. Lets see what the autopsy and crime scene evidence points to. Depose, under oath, any of the first responders? Under penalty of perjury? Do some time for lying, maybe? Whats that? There aren't any records from the coroner's office? What's that? Oh, they cleaned out the files a week after the incident? Oh, I see, thank you for your time. Be interesting to see at what angle the bullet entered Travon's chest. Maybe downward, as if Zimmerman was standing over him? Or maybe at an upward angle, as if Zimmerman was on his back or maybe dead on from 30 paces, in fear of his life? Answers, foresnic evidence that we may never see because the cover up started immediately. Yea, and the wounds on Trayvon's knuckles? Maybe because he stood his ground and didn't have a gun.
You are off topic but, whatever...your off base too
"there is insufficient evidence that the Defendant reasonably believed deadly force was needed to prevent death or great bodily harm to herself," and that the fact that she came back into the home, instead of leaving out the front or back door "is inconsistent with a person who is in genuine fear for her life."
"Obviously, the jury believed the state's position, that she went into garage to get the gun and make a stand, and that's not going to be tolerated,"
The doctor added that Zimmerman refused to go to the hospital the night of the shooting and added that it was “imperative” that he see his psychologist.
Wow, from the same link that was posted previously. Also, mentions "medications" Zimmerman had been prescribed in the weeks prior to the shooting. Can you spell p-a-r-a-n-o-i-a? And this from the "family physician" of Zimmerman?
Arm everyone, it makes us all safer. Buy a gun, be deputized. Get a badge with every gun purchase. But if you outlaw hoodies, only outlaws will wear hoodies. And what exactly was the fact finding result of Dick Cheney shooting someone in the face? Just wondering.

If Zimmerman wins his case, we can all learn something for the greater good.
Don't go around beating people to a pulp like a thug if your not prepared to die for your reckless actions at the hands of your victim
In theory
Don't go around "beating people to a pulp?" Why, Trayvon had a propensity or history or reputation or maybe even a criminal record for "beating people to a pulp?" I'd say, don't go around with a loaded gun in your waistband calling 911 everytime you see a shadow and let law enforcement do their job, observe and report, and maybe you wouldn't end up fearing for your life, wearing an ankle bracelet and being in denial about your psycological problems. And I thought Reagan taught us to not blame the victim? Skittles and ice tea, sure signs of thuggary.
Yet the video of Zimmerman being escorted into the police station an hour after the incident shows none of the reported phyiscal injuries alleged by the family doctor's report a day later. Zimmerman, even after being released by the police, who basically supported his claim under the Stand Your Ground law, still didn't go to a hospital. He was cleared, free to go home and have his family take him to the hospital, but he didn't.

SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

pray tell how am i off topic?? i provided a link to show that stand your ground is not always an appropriate defense and that it does not always get the defendant off. the lady in the story did not even shoot anyone, let alone murder anyone. and she got 20 YEARS for simply discharging the gun as a warning shot. she did not shoot to kill like barney fife did in this case.
in your second paragraph i can make the same argument that zimmerman would not have been in fear of his life had he not gone against dispatcher advice, had not pursued trayvon, and had not confronted him. how the hell can anybody argue stand your ground when the shooter/killer followed and confronted the shootee? you can not answer that so you accuse me of being off topic.
zimmerman is going to jail. either for murder or a lesser charge. but he is going to jail.
