From the guy who started the site:

I’m extremely sad to write this, but I have been asked to relinquish the dmbstream domain to the people representing Dave Matthews Band. To avoid risking further legal consequences, my lawyer advised me to shut down the site completely. I would love to continue to add to the Dave Matthews music community, but that seems to be out of my hands.

I have enjoyed the nearly 4 years building this fan site and am so happy to have met everyone along the way. The fan interaction has astonished me and I’m proud to have been a part of it.

I want to thank the band for everything they do! I built the site from love of their music and found so many friends and memories through the years. I look forward to seeing the band next time they're playing near me!

I want to thank all of the tapers for making all of these concerts available to everyone who couldn't attend the first time around!

I want to thank all of the donors who have kept this site running! You are the reason the site was a success for so long.

What’s next? I honestly don’t know at this point. I would love to explore fan interaction some more and love providing a community for concert goers. In the mean time, I have put up a temporary site with chat functionality - http://meetattheshow.com. You can log in with the credentials you used on dmbstream.

I wish everyone the best and if you’re ever around Milwaukee and want to catch a show, let me know...

I will miss everything about this site and most of all the people.

    Cheers,

    Jim Geurts

listening to this right now. mind blown. Rivals Red Rocks
This concert was the first show in the States after DMB's tour in Europe. Dave notes how the band is still taking in "this thing that's been going on with us", referring to the success achieved with the release of Crash. Highlights of the '96 show include "Too Much," followed by never-before-released in the Live Trax series, "Deed Is Done" into "So Much To Say." Carter's intro to "#36" is also noteworthy. The VA Beach home state show has long been a summer tradition.
    Track listing:

    1. #41

    2. Say Goodbye

    3. Drive In Drive Out

    4. Two Step

    5. Crash Into Me

    6. Too Much

    7. Deed Is Done

    8. So Much To Say

    9. Cry Freedom

    10. Jimi Thing

    Disc 2

    2. Proudest Monkey

    3. Satellite

    4. Song That Jane Likes

    5. #36

Have a blast!!!! Gonna be one hell of a show.

Also: loving this album more and more with every listen. Getting me pumped for the next time I see them, whenever that may be!!

This summer I was planning on doing some traveling, but between a hopefully likely PJ tour and DMB's usual summer dates, think I'm just gonna stay home and do another internship :D

I heard about those dates!! And they kill me cuz it would be the first DMB MSG shows I'd have to miss since 2009 (first world problems, much? ) In 2010 it was so lucky to have those fall dates on a weekend- my friends and I were able to come home to NY from our respective colleges to see the shows together (was also one of my best friend's birthdays!)...probably the greatest memory I have in my life thus far! :) But, if they tour in the fall, really hoping for a DC date!! I'm just excited to see them next, whenever it may be!

That Saturday night show at MSG in 2010 was incredible. At the time it was the best DMB show of the 13 i had been to. Now at 19 shows, the honor goes to night 3 of the AC Caravan.

One thing to say about that Saturday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4JhCTbmBQ4  Chills every time. My favorite concert memory out of any show I've ever been to.

We think alike! Out of 13 shows, favorite show memory wise would go to that MSG 2 2010 show, while my favorite show how the band sounds-wise (and also the memories! what a wonderful experience that festival was!) would be Atlantic City Caravan 3! Other favorite shows of mine would go to MSG 09 (first DMB show), Philly 10, Citi Field x2 '10, and this year's Jones Beach run!

Jones beach run was good, I preferred the Camden run tho. But the beastie boys tribute in jones was amazing! Also heard my only bigeyed fish at jones. I was at a pretty historical show actually, me and 2 friends decided that to cap off our summer in 2008 that we would fly to LA for the Dave shows. Well as fate would have it, Roi passed that day. It was extremely sad and the first 8 songs or so it was a mellow and somber show but what a show to be at. And night 2 was less sad because it was all about them playing the show and it is another of my favorite sets that I have seen

Wish I could make that!!! Unfortunately getting there and back would cost me more money than the actual ticket! And that's not even considering accommodations! But have a blast!!!! Some great artists this year, should be a great time.

Also: some random thoughts on how some new songs could work live:
I could see Broken Things > The Stone working and being awesome!
Guitar on Rooftop reminds me of Rhyme & Reason. Rooftop > R&R or vice versa could rock too!

Yeah, I'm pretty excited. Pretty cool lineup, except for the whole Kenny Chesney thing. Beer run. Should be fun. Taking my mom who is a huge Willie and Neil fan. Looking forward to it.

DMB will appear this Wednesday, 9/12 on the Ellen Degeneres Show http://www.ellentv.com/2012/09/07/premiere-week-on-ellen

Last time they were there they did 2 or 3 songs, wonder if it'll be the same this time around!
