That's always such a loaded question because what many people think of when they hear the term "Gay Pride Marches" isn't really the reality of what a "Gay Pride March" actually is.
What the mainstream news media shows on TV and in the news - even the supposedly more liberal/gay positive news agencies - is seldom indicative of what actually goes on.
I remember one year here in Los Angeles, my motorcycle club lead the parade. Many reporters came to take pictures and were very let down to see that we were all a pretty average-looking bunch. No chaps worn without underwear, no drag queens, no makeup. Nobody covered in leather with spikes and studs. One reporter actually tried to put a drag queen on my motorcycle with me and I flatly told him that no... I wasn't going to pose for a picture that he would use to distort what we were all about.
We lead the parade but when the news did their stories on it, not a single station or newspaper mentioned us at all. Most, if you can believe this, claimed the parade had been lead by a "lesbian motorcycle gang called Dykes on Bikes." It was accompanied by photographs of bare-chested women in leather and pierced nipples (who weren't actually at the parade).
And for those of you who don't know, Dykes on Bikes isn't a "motorcycle gang" and it's not even really an official club or group, it's just the name that's traditionally given to the group of women organized to ride at the front of pride parades... they don't do anything other than that. It's not a real club. They don't have any other gatherings other than that one day every year.
So although pride parades are a blast and a lot of fun, we've come to accept that it's going to mean that we're going to be made fun of and be represented by the most freaky, weird and cringe-worthy pictures they can find, even if they have to find them in stock pictures taken 2 years before.
This is their faith and they are bound to that as I mentioned... to share
the response they receive should not be hate

A public demonstration is just that - public, out in the open. Door to door infringes on your property, your personal space, your personal time - thrusting something down your throat that you are not seeking. You are not 'out there' in your own home. I hate door to door - it is very intrusive. And they usually turn up when it's dinner time, or just after when you are trying to relax (or just before when you're trying to get it ready!), or too early in the morning. They bank on you being at home at those times - intrusive.

What's worked best for me with the Mormon's is telling them about my visit to New Mexico one year where I saw plenty of evidence that the Mormon's there talk the local American Indians how to trade one addiction (alcohol) for another (their fairy tales) and get the Indian's to give them their money in the deal. They leave.
My tactic with the Jehovah Witnesses is to ask them about their church architecture. I tell them, "I notice your churches have no windows. I find that very, very, very interesting," and then just kind of stare at them. They leave.

wo have visited her home. She tells them *Sorry no thanks and when they persists she again says *I said no thank you please leave NOW!*
I see no hate there....it's Im not interested. Many different people have their own way of saying no to christians who comes to their door and its their right TO DO SO in whatever way they choose.
