Haha.  I don't recall all of the details.  It was something comical.

    Pete Carroll Out in Seattle
  • Please, USC, fire that overrated "genius" and bring Pete back.
Seattle is dumb.  They deserve what they get.  They were nothing before Pete and will be nothing after.

Because it is dumb.  Lol.  A franchise that did nothing, amounted to nothing.   All of a sudden a winning team, someone that was almost always competitive and went to the bowl 2x, winning once and losing a close one (which can be pinned on coaches crazy call, agree).

    Back to boring SeaChickens.

As Niners fans this is good for us!

The fun part of that 'crazy' call (assuming you're talking about the goal line interception) is that was their tendency in that situation. That's why NE was prepared for it. Not calling a timeout there to give SEA more time to think it through was one of the best (& riskiest) decisions of Belichick's career.

So dumb.  Carroll made them a regular playoff team for 15 years!  He made the playoffs last year with Geno Smith when everyone thought they'd be the worst team in the league.  And then almost made playoffs again this year.  As a Bears fan who is used to having awful coaches, it's amazing to see teams get rid of guys like Vrabel and Carroll.

He had a good run there. Even though he coached the Seahawks, I didn't seem to despise him as much as the rest of the Seahawks. Probably because of his time coordinating the defense for the 49ers.

say he may stay in some capacity.....IDK not running Marshawn is almost as memorable as winning that SB

That was something that tore the core of that team apart

We all fuck up, but that was EPIC

He is a great coach, but I cant not see that ever again

Bills fan killed outside Dolphins' stadium after Sunday's game - ESPN

Dolphins fans are going to give Dodgers fans a run for their money in the murder department.
First 2 Dolphins fans beats a Pats fan to death during the game in Foxborough in September, now one shoots and kills a Bills fan in Miami post game.

Maybe Carroll isn't quite into the grind anymore and wants to hone front-office skills.

I wonder if Vrabel getting canned by Tennessee changed things.  He seems like a perfect fit in Seattle.

Is Aaron Rodgers the most self absorbed asshole in the NFL? The evidence is mounting...

Aaron Rodgers seems completely fed up with the problems he is causing the Jets

    https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/aaron-rodgers-new-york-jets-press-conference-distractions
This cracks me up because other people MAKE him a story, lol.

If you don't like it dont you do it too.  I think that s the line from a band we like?

Stop reporting on it and no one will care but apparently people do.

Rodgers does want to have his cake and eat it too though, I see that for sure.
Blaming others for Aaron Rodgers inability to stfu or insatiable need for attention is weak. No one forces him to go on McAfee's show and display his own stupidity to the world. He does that on his own.

    He's his own worse enemy.

this all started when he was waiting on draft night, you could see his mind breaking apart.....the funniest part is he THINKS hes interesting, hes not..
He must be interesting because everyone keeps talking about him?

Also overrated?  4 MVPs is not overrated...

I googled Mcafee and still have zero idea who he is.  I don't watch much WWE so wouldn't have known him from there.  How the heck did he become the guy to turn into
Yeah, THAT'S why people are talking about him, because he's just so gosh darn interesting. Good call.

I'm also unclear on what your lack of awareness about McAfee means or what the WWE has to do with anything. I can't help but think you might be using google wrong.
    Google Pat Mcafee...
Patrick Justin McAfee is an American sports analyst, professional wrestling color commentator, professional wrestler, former football punter, and kickoff specialist. McAfee is an analyst on ESPN's College GameDay, a television program covering college football. He also hosts The Pat McAfee Show live on YouTube

I know hes on ESPN, I just wasn't sure how he got to where he is.  I've never watched his show.  Actually only heard about it on here.
Hey, we both learned something today. I had no idea about the WWE connection. That might explain his obsession w/ tank tops.
I seriously see snippetts of his show and it's always w Rodgers.  Dude was a kicker?  Again I still don't know how he became a thing.  I can't find that on google.
I think he was a kicker with the Colts, and IIRC he got a show w/ Barstool Sports after his playing career which took off from there. & while we're on he subject, I don't think it's any small coincidence that Rodgers found a safe space on a show geared towards the Barstool demographic.
Ahhh Barstool.  I remember them.  Misogynistic is what I've read about some of the writing.  I also read some damn good articles from them too though.

The fact that he is remaining on as an advisor is different.

But maybe he just doesnt feel like going through the interview/contract process and starting anew.

    (Just read up on it)
He made it clear he wanted to stay and fought for it.

Seahawks make playoffs 10 years out of 14.  SB 2x, winning one, losing one in painful fashion.  Far and away the most success the weak franchise ever had.

Jets win 6 games in his one year as coach....and for an organization as bad as the Jets this is probably a top 10 coach, lol.

Pats?  Well, he made playoffs 2 out of 3 years and kept things warm for Bill.

Obviously had great success in college level with USC.

Still blown away that the SeaChickens think they will do better.  That team was largely garbage the past few years and he did a hell of a job.  If they had an average coach they don't make playoffs last year and win 3-4 games this year.

Hope Seattle turns back into the pumpkins now.

Back to the garbage level when they were in the AFC West quarterbacked by Rick Meier.

Schefter & Reiss are reporting Belichick & NE to part ways today.
  • Could be.
I'm sure he is due to hit an old folk wall at some point.  Judging by his players' opinions expressed in multiple stories this year, his actions during warm ups, the way he roams the sidelines, and his interviews, I don't see that he is near that yet.

We know he is more physically fit than many coaches....here are some of the head coaches who are lardos:
    Andy Reid
    Mike McCarthy
    Bill Belichick
    Sean Payton
    Brian Dabol

  • Whoops....scratch Bill from that list.  Just saw Pat's are firing him.
The love he receives is the love that is saved
  • Also....if Bill was open to giving up the GM type duties I don't think they should have fired him.  Greatest coach in NFL history.
