  • I think in the primetime games they frontload the commercials while east coasters are still up and then in the 4th quarter they've run pretty much all the commercials they're allowed. Last night tons of commercials in the 1st & 2nd quarters.

  • Of course he did...

Colts owner Jim Irsay says Carmel police profiled him for being 'rich, white billionaire'

    https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2023/11/20/colts-owner-jim-irsays-shocking-hbo-interview-with-andrea-kremer-prejudice/71646776007/

"Irsay was 55 when he was stopped March 16, 2014, after an officer said he saw Irsay driving erratically near Horseferry Road and Main Street in Carmel.

...Irsay pleaded guilty to one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. He also admitted to having hydrocodone, oxycodone and alprazolam (Xanax) in his system.

"Was that the low point for you?" Kremer asks Irsay of his arrest.

"No, not really, because the arrest was wrong," Irsay says. "I had just had hip surgery and had been in a car for 45 minutes and what? They ask me to walk the line. Are you kidding me? I can barely walk at all."

Kremer responds, "Are you saying you couldn't walk because you had hip surgery and not because you were on painkillers?" To which Irsay raises his voice and says emphatically, "I'm not saying that. It's a fact."

When Kremer asks him why he pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor, Irsay says he just wanted to get it over with.

"I am prejudiced against because I'm a rich, white billionaire," Irsay tells Kremer. "If I'm just the average guy down the block, they're not pulling me in, of course not."

can’t hardly remember a thanksgiving past where I expected the lions to win. it would be bonkers to see them win it all.

I put them somewhere between 3-5 in the WPR.

Seems like the WPR should have an actual number,  not a range.

    #4

a case could be made for 3, but I have to factor in historical ineptitude.

this will come back to bite me, but the Cowboys are superb owl worthy.

their coach and sometimes skittish QB give me pause, but they do have the talent.

Nice. They have not beaten a team with more than 4 wins this year.

Washington likely was not going to win the game but it was lost for them they ran a slow developing running play on 4th and 1 towards the end of the 4th down by just 10 and in Cowboys territory.

I see teams struggle on short yardage situations all the time and it makes me smile. The Eagles have such an ENORMOUS advantage over the rest of the league in this category.
