Wild Card Mondat Night is possibly the worst/most greedy move in recent NFL memory

Got something better to watch on Monday night? Bachelor maybe?

    Sleep.

Player safety is not something the NFL is concerned  about.

You mean because presumably the winner will only have six days to recover? We've had MNF since about 1971.  This argument is a stretch.  Of course the NFL is greedy.  It's a business.

My Steelers/JAGUARS/Dolphins moneyline parlay is looking pretty damn good. Could be a huge payout.
    So what was it?
Must have been major odds using the Jags.
    This weekend we rock Portland

It is the playoffs.  Why does one team have to play on short rest and the rest of the teams don't?
    It's messed up.

Also, I hate it because of my need for sleep.

Well, the short rest situation is already a thing with Saturday playoff games, so that pert of the argument doesn't really hold water.

The sleep thing, different story. They should kick the game off at 6 eastern.

$20 to win like $1,250. Yeah the Jags were +700 lol

  • Yeah it was great. I was pulling for the Steelers’ scenario and the Dolphins are my favorite team so it was a fun underdog parlay. Sweated it out with Miami, but they held on for a good win.

Isn't the Saturday situation  the same for both teams?
Wouldn't be the case with a single Monday night game for the team that wins.

Since they are doing it for the money there is no way they will start prior to 5pm Pacific.

Not necessarily.  A team will possibly play this Saturday and win and play again the following Saturday against a team who plays this Sunday.

  • You are right....OK, well, I hope the team I root for doesn't play on Monday night.

I don't how you guys in eastern time zone do it with these 8:15-8:30pm start times.  So late.  I barely make it to the end of SNF and MNF and I'm in CST.

    I do too.

Coach could've said after the game: "I didn't want to risk a block FG and the Chargers return it for a TD, so that's why we took a knee" . "We're in the playoffs!"

    Hell of a game !!
