Pats never scored in 1st qtr of a win in SB and never won by nearly that much.  Do you think Eagles suck or Pats are just that good?
I would love to place bets with KC and ed
You only have to give me 10.  You have the Pats winning by 25 and 21 respectively.
Giving me 10 Points and the Birds is like taking candy from a baby if that is what you believe.
Heck, if you give me 14 points I will give you 2 to 1 odds.

Give ya +9 for the playoff pool entry?

  • I feel better about the Pats chances of winning as the week moves along. C'mon now...it's Brady and Belichick against who? There's not one person on the other side of the ball that scares me. The two weeks off benefits the Pats getting Gronk back. It also gives them more time to prepare for the Eagles' gimmicky run/pass system. Pats O line has been playing well lately. They'll get the double team on Cox, run some 5 wide, no huddle. Dink and dunk, hit the Rbs, catch the Eagles front substituting, tire them out. Schwartz will make some questionable calls. Eagles are gonna get overaggresive, Pats will hit some big plays on screens. Go ahead lineup Jenkins on Gronk, and Brady will expose their secondary. Their secondary sucks. Look for Brady to connect with Cooks
on a 60 yard TD in the 2nd/3rd quarter.

I heard that Peterson defers to his math guys in the booth for 4th down calls? That is laughable, especially in the game where you need to trust your intuition the most. The Eagles might score some points early but Pats will make the necessary adjustments. Coaching is going to be a big factor in this game. The Eagles are a solid team, but they're not ready for a team that is this well coached and in this big of a spot. They'll make it a game, but will find a way to vomit
all over themselves. History repeats itself, Pats win 31-23 for championship number six.

That guy is an American hero. We should build a statue of him pissing on Tom Brady's children's heads while Brady and the skinny little bitch look on in horror, and we should display it next to the Make Way for Ducklings statues in Boston Public Garden before it makes its way to the White House lawn.

I think this was a pretty good thing for him.  I am no fan of the Deadthings team in WDC but think this seems like a great contract for him and I think that Gruden got a lot out of Cousins and can do the same with Smith.  As a 49ers fan I wish him the best.  Great dude.

I just feel like Washington is one of those teams where careers go to die.  He might do well, but the team will still suck ass. As a Niners fan myself, I still believe that if Harbaugh kept him as the starter in 2012 we'd be 6-0.

I've got a hockey game on Sunday =)

    And Saturday

The schools here are basically making kids wear Patriots gear to class today, even my son's preschool. Failing that -- red, white and blue.

Since I'm raising my children right, they hate the Patriots and are doing no such thing. My daughter even asked me what the other team's colors are. Since she's sensitive to insults, though, and Masshole parents have Masshole children, I suggested that she wear her Papi jersey and that she should be fine with that.

My son is playing hooky. He can't even deal.

My 3 yr old asked Alexa (again) who was going to win the Super Bowl and laughed at her response.  (She was coughing when sharing that the Patriots were favored before saying that she is flying with the Eagles.)

Gotta love the Seahawk dislike for the Patriots.

The year the Steelers (I live near Pittsburgh) played the Packers (my favorite team) in the SB, my school had a black and gold day, where you could break certain dress code rules in the name of showing your Steelers spirit, one of those rules we could break was wearing a hat, so I wore my Packers hat and didn’t think anything of it. A teacher made me take it off because it wasn’t black and gold, and he wouldn’t take no for an answer, even though like 3 other teachers were saying to just let me wear it. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times in my life that I’ve been that furious.

I don't know. I think due to Patriots-fatigue, the Steelers might have made a bigger rating than New England. And as for the NFC, I think if the NFL was able to choose, they'd want the Saints over the Eagles or Vikings.

I mean really, a Browns/Lions Super Bowl would probably draw a higher rating than a Warriors/Cavs game 7. But as far as Super Bowls go, and using only the teams in this year's playoffs, I think Saints vs. Patriots/Steelers would produce the best rating

I think that away from the I-95 corridor, no one gives a shit about this SB.

Ratings wise, I think this was the best possible outcome for the NFL
I don't know. I think due to Patriots-fatigue, the Steelers might have made a bigger rating than New England. And as for the NFC, I think if the NFL was able to choose, they'd want the Saints over the Eagles or Vikings.

I'm not sure there is a Patriots fatigue. They're kind of like the Yankees. Most either love them or hate them. So I think more people will tune in to root against them, than will root for the Steelers. Plus Boston is a much bigger market than Pittsburgh.

And Eagles/Saints---no contest. Philadelphia is the 4th largest tv market, New Orleans is 50th...4 spots above Scranton Wilkes-Barre.
