So here is part f the leagues statement on Deflategate:

"The playing rules are intended to protect the fairness and integrity of our games. We take seriously claims that those rules have been violated and will fully investigate this matter without compromise or delay. The investigation is ongoing, will be thorough and objective, and is being pursued expeditiously. In the coming days, we expect to conduct numerous additional interviews, examine video and other forensic evidence, as well as relevant physical evidence."

The league is really going to start combing through footage to see who deflated the balls but couldn't even ask for the Ray Rice elevator video. This just goes to show how fucked up the league offices are.

Anything to take away from the excitement of the Super Bowl. The balls could have been bricks and the Colts still would have lost.

Belichick said he wasn't the Mona Lisa Vito of football's. What an awesome reference from an AWESOME movie. Good job Bill.

I cracked up watching the video when he referenced Mona Lisa Vito. Guy has a subtle senso of humor that most don't realize.

Interesting that this report has been out for about 24 hours:

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/25/nfl-bears-plenty-of-blame-for-deflategate/

    including this bit:
But what has the NFL really found? As one league source has explained it to PFT, the football intercepted by Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson was roughly two pounds under the 12.5 PSI minimum. The other 10 balls that reportedly were two pounds under may have been, as the source explained it, closer to one pound below 12.5 PSI.

and it gets no attention but Mort's report to the contrary was headline news around the nation.

Isn't team Irving a NASCAR team? And what was up with the uniforms? And no kick offs? Is that true?

  • Just read the story about Brent Grimes' wife Miko and a series of angry tweets she sent out about her anger that her husband was not voted defensive MVP of the pro bowl last night. Horrid tweets she is a fool.
I would link it here but I get the null entry when I try to do from my cell.
Best part is that I Google image searched Milo Grimes and was horrified at what I saw. Best one? Check out the cake she made for his 30th birthday. Holy crap soooo funny. Google Mike Grimes Birthday Cake for the deadspin article referencing it. How did I miss this?!

I really can't wait for this game. All the nonsense and hoopla aside, what it comes down to is a matchup between the two best teams in football. I like the Pats to win but I think it can go either way. Would be shocked if it's anything remotely close to a blowout like last year.

  • I hate the Seachickens as a 49ers fan and was pulling for NE. Then I realized if Wilson gets a second win his new contract will be even bigger and will hurt Seattle more in the long run. I also heard the espn analysts asking if Brady gets win #4 should he be considered the greatest QB ever over Montana and now I'm completely routing for Seattle. That is BS with Brady and Montana. That would be like saying Kobe is better than Jordan since he has more points. During Montana's era WR's would get mauled going down the field and you could pick up the QB and body slam him on his head if you wanted. Now you breathe on a QB and its a 15 yard penalty. Brady is one of the greatest ever but not #1 over Montana or Elway.

Put Brady in another team. I don't think he pits up the same numbers or even gets to the SB

Of course not. But give belichick 5 years with any other team and I'd bet he's got them in a super bowl. Who was the horrible qb that backed up Brady the year he got hurt? They really should have made the playoffs that year.

as long as Belichick could set up his cheating network elsewhere he would be fine.
