Lol. Maybe. But the guy is a good coach. His system works. And I'm 100% a buffalo Bills fan. I hate the pats.

He's a great coach. Including his assistant days, I heard last night this is his 9th SB. That's fucking crazy.

I hate the Seachickens as a 49ers fan and was pulling for NE. Then I realized if Wilson gets a second win his new contract will be even bigger and will hurt Seattle more in the long run. I also heard the espn analysts asking if Brady gets win #4 should he be considered the greatest QB ever over Montana and now I'm completely routing for Seattle. That is BS with Brady and Montana. That would be like saying Kobe is better than Jordan since he has more points. During Montana's era WR's would get mauled going down the field and you could pick up the QB and body slam him on his head if you wanted. Now you breathe on a QB and its a 15 yard penalty. Brady is one of the greatest ever but not #1 over Montana or Elway.

Put Brady in another team. I don't think he pits up the same numbers or even gets to the SB

And you can pretty much say that about LITERALLY every other qb who has won multiple Super Bowls. Takes a complete team and great coaching.

If you consistently have a complete team year to year that's one thing.

The worst argument for that is Roethlisberger vs. Rivers. "If Rivers were on the Steelers, then HE'D have to the two rings!" Yeah...more like "if Rivers were on the Steelers, his career would be over because he'd die behind years of horrible pass protection."

And I also hate the "well he has a great defense" "knock" that Roethlisberger used to get and that Wilson gets now. Nearly every Super Bowl champ has had a great defense. The 49ers of the 80's, the Cowboys of the 90's, the Pats of the early '00's all had great defenses....but also having great QBs is why they've won multiple titles. Lots of teams have great defenses and no quarterback and that's why they don't win titles. See: Pittsburgh Steelers circa 1980-2003.

49ers defense in the 80's is so underrated to me.

And if you Put Dan Marino on that team and they still win all those championships---or put San Fran's defense in Miami and the Dolphins win a couple maybe---sorry!

  • Hoping to be on Sports Center tomorrow on the 6pm EST show. ESPN setup a huge Fan Fest where they are doing all live broadcasts from right across from my work. I went during lunch around 2pm EST for the Scot Van Pelt show and was on. Mortenson was all decked out in a crap load of makeup which I found that humorous. You can tell he is wearing a lot on TV but in person it is bad. I'm still trying to decide on what signs to bring for Sports Center. Goodell Lied is a for sure. Lynch can't read is a for sure. Any other ideas that will still make air hopefully? Maybe a PJ sign?

  • Lol. Madden Bowl might suck this year thanks to one of the few times it rains here. We went during lunch and checked it out. Looks awesome except for the fact it is supposed to be an outdoor event and mother nature doesnt like Madden apparently. I finally broke down and got NFL experience tickets for me and the kids. The puppy bowl being next door sold it.

So, the Colts didn't contact the NFL after the game in week 11 regarding "deflated" footballs? The Colt player who intercepted the ball in week 11 stated he didn't notice a difference in the ball? The NFL didn't log the PSIs of the balls before the AFC Championship? 10 of 11 balls were under by 1lb but the 11th ball, intercepted by the Colts and given to the officials during the game, was under by 2 lbs? The "reporter" who broke the story by tweeting it immediately after the conclusion of the AFC Championship game is Indianapolis based? I wonder if this "reporter" had a large influx of cash deposited into his accounts or suddenly made some extravagant purchases? Maybe driving around in a new car?

Yea, it wasn't a contrived controversy.

This very silly yet fun controversy has had academia using serious time to determine how and if a football could deflate. I would like them to spend more time on a scenario where two test groups are used and explain how test group A had all the footballs deflate and test group B remain the same. hmmm ....

Any other team and this would not have been an issue.

Sports - all sports - is merely entertainment. It IS show business. It is unserious, unimportant and meaningless fun. It is a show put on to amuse the audience, to obtain their money. It is all about 'fame' and attention, because that is good for generating fan revenue.

So this Marshaun guy puts on a weird show for the media this week because he is an egotistical fame-seeker. That is fine, it made all the news and just became yet more entertainment in a WWE kind of fashion. So be it, this is no different that some interview of a Stephen Phelps or Milos Raonic or with Justin Bieber or Stephen Colbert. These athletes are merely unimportant actors put on a unique kind of stage (sports) for our entertainment.

  • Finally Charles Haley makes the hall of fame. Nice.
