He will be alright moving forward...pretty bad now
I don't know, he has no emotion and it looks like tries to force everything. He got away with it for a while in college. Plus he had some incredible receivers at WV.
What did he do? I missed the game last night I was watching that TCU/Texas Tech game.
the guy has no hands and was a deer caught in the headlights it seemed ... tripping over his own feet ... ugly ugly ... ran good routes in that he was open a lot but couldn't catch anything ... caught 3 of 10 passes ...

Ah, Clifford Franklin syndrome. Give him some Stickum and he'll be fine.

Instead of designing the stadium to direct crowd noise onto the playing surface they should have had a plan to keep the elements off of it. A retractable roof in the Pacific Northwest seems like a no-brainer.

i can never understand why when a team can outright win a game by getting a first down and everyone in the stadiums knows you are going to run the ball that you don't throw it ... inevitably ... the team runs the ball ... punts it and the other team marches down the field and wins the game ...

It's tricky. If you throw the ball and it falls incomplete, then you stop the clock and everybody is up in arms over clock management issues. And of course the talking heads at ESPN will dissect the call and read too deeply into it, saying the coach doesn't trust his defense or some other bullshit.

for sure ... but if you fail - you still have your defense ... if you make the completion for like 5 yds ... the game is over ... how many times have we seen a team go into prevent defense mode and lose? ...
i don't know why it annoys me ... ... i always end up cheering for the other team right after ...

True, I guess it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't type of thing. If you lose that is. But I would imagine if you look at the numbers it's probably the safest bet, otherwise I don't think it would be the go-to conservative strategy.
As many games as we've seen teams lose by letting the other team drive down the field on the last possession, there have probably been as many if not more where the other team held. Points are pretty difficult to come by in the NFL, even the best offenses can't score every single drive. Currently San Diego has the highest scoring percentage per drive in the league, but they only score on 50% of them. That's scoring in general, TD or FG. Chances of getting a TD are lower, so if the lead is more than 3 the numbers look better for the D. Coaches probably think that it's a safer bet to give the other team the ball back with as little time as possible (dropping that likelihood of scoring) than to go for it and leaving them with extra time to drive down should the pass fall incomplete. Of course if they march down and score on you, you look like an idiot.
I see the reasoning, but it drives me crazy as well. I'd much rather have the ball in my hands and not give the other team a shot. But at the same time, they might get a shot anyway and how you manage the clock will dictate how much time they have to do it. I think it's just a numbers game.

How is it possible that the Jags have not gone after Tebow by now? A TV station out of Orlando appologized to their viewers because they are forced to show all Jags away games.
It's not like he could do much worse then Gabbert.

I bet he could do worse. Not that any team is really the right fit for Tebow, but with Jacksonville's O-line, they would be the worst fit ever. His strengths would be neutralized and he'd be sack bait. He'd be better off taking that deal from the Russian team.
