Yeah, now in my second week of Insanity, I can honestly say that P90x is the better overall workout program. Insanity is a sweat-fest and I'm sure I'll lose some weight, but P90x just really works EVERYTHING really well.

I'm gonna complete Insanity and I figure in another month and a half it'll start to get warm here...I may just roll right into P90x2. Need a good summer indoor workout. Anyone on here have the second one?

Yeah I totally agree. I can see why people use them together. Insanity also gets boring because it's the same couple workouts every day.

I had Kenpo yesterday - absolutely loved it! I used to take a very similar class at a local gym so I was familiar with all the movements. I have to say I'm really really enjoying this program!

That's good. I'm sooooooo bored with Insanity already. It's a good workout and I'm gonna stick to it....but my god it's the same shit over and over! :x

Ugh bummer! Yeah it is quite repetitive and gets boring quickly. After your recovery week you'll kick it up for a bit, so that will be a change of pace at least. I was tempted to get Shaun T's abs workout thing for a minute there but I'm sure it's just as repetitive.

I was going well on Insanity, it was getting repetitive though. I got bronchitis pretty bad that Im still seeing lingering affects from.

Seeing Mamasan's raving approval makes me want to do the p90s again. Maybe Ill do one of the hybrids. Pretty sure they substitute Plyo and Kenpo, and some Yoga with Insanity workouts.

To me that would be perfect! I would probably stick with the Kenpo because I like it so much, but switching the Plyo and Yoga for Pure Cardio and Insanity Plyo sounds like a good mix.

    Hope you feel better soon!

So, how coordinated do you have to be for this? I have trouble following along with something on tv, and am completely uncoordinated. I've been on the elliptical every day for 9 weeks (because i cant fall off) but it's not doing much for me.
    I win.

Don't worry about it. I was falling all over the place, especially in Yoga, but Tony says, "Do your best, forget the rest" and it really is true. I just kept going.

This video reminds me of me doing Yoga, if this guy can do it, so can you!

oh yeah! I didn't like Yoga at first because it had me melting in a huge sweat puddle, but then I noticed that I was more coordinated, and then I saw the video...it made me work harder at Yoga, which made the rest of the workouts easier.

The entire system is perfectly balanced. Can't wait to get my house put back together so I can get back to working out.

Yeah, the Yoga is tough at first because you gotta hold the form while watching the screen to see what to do.
After a couple times, it gets much easier.

Dreya is returning to Teatro ZinZanni for a show...I am sort of interested in watching her perform, and also to see if she always has that 'Bitchy Resting Face' look all the time or not.

Teatro ZinZanni's main event is part circus, part dinner theatre, and always magical. Described as "the Kit Kat Klub on acid" and "the hottest ticket in town" Teatro ZinZanni is a night out unlike any other. It is a three-hour whirlwind of international cirque, comedy and cabaret artists all served up with a scrumptious multi-course feast and elegant libations. Each ever-evolving and constantly changing production— at least three new shows per year — Teatro ZinZanni combines improv comedy, vaudeville revue, music, dance, cirque and sensuality into a dizzying and colorful new form that is never quite the same from evening to evening. Famous for its intimate setting, the fast-paced action of the show unfolds above, around and even alongside you as you dine on a gourmet meal. Teatro ZinZanni is guaranteed to dazzle.

or were you asking about the Bitchy Resting Face? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v98CPXNiSk

I've done this workout routine twice. Lost a total of 35 lbs doing it twice when I did it, I do a disc on occasion to keep in shape.

First piece of advice is take it easy the first two weeks, the pain your body will go through will be like nothing that you may have ever gone through. Make it through the first two weeks of pain and you will finish it. Follow the diet plan and you will lose weight like a hot knife going through butter.

OK, I finally started this... I've been doing elliptical every day for 8 months, so I'm in better shape than I have been in probably 20 years. But HOLY CRAP, I did the Plyo workout yesterday. I followed along just fine, really I thought I was doing well. Until about an hour later, and now a day later... I am walking like an old lady.

I liked it more than I thought I would, I'll do elliptical tonight and another P90x tomorrow. :corn:
    I win.

    yeah, Plyo is another animal.

Its such a great 90 day routine (as I have said numerous times in this thread)... I dont think there is a better beginner-intermediate program possible. Especially for the do it at home factor.

I just got the clearance to perform everything but the Plyo, Yoga, and Kenpo (and some of X Stretch). Those things are awesome, but I havent been able to do jack shit since the beginning of May. I plan on doing the other stuff, cant wait for the soreness.

Looking to increase my endurance and overall strength. I don't need to lose weight.

What's the pros/cons of P90x vs Insanity? Is there a difference?

How would one acquire these without paying $100?

P 90x is better than insanity. Provides a great range of workouts and If you follow the workouts and diet for 90 days it will make you leaner.

Insanity is pretty intense and the workouts are shorter. But not as well rounded

Could probably find a torrent. I did awhile back but was so impressed I decided they deserved my money

I've done both and p90x is by far the superior program.
You'll lose weight faster with Insanity as it's almost entirely cardio...but 90x is a full body strengthening program.

If you stick to the program, you can gain a ton of strength with 90x.

    90x is a great program.

You can often find it on eBay for cheap.

I was wondering the same thing...or Tony is running out of money image

Joined a gym (Mr. RK gets a $500 allowance for some 'wellness program' from work) the trainer had me doing most of the same stuff from P90x with the resistance bands. Some stuff he showed me was cool, but I haven't been back since I twisted my ankle.

I'll go back on Monday-I promise.
