Two songs they've never played before, I'd say that's better than excellent!

Wasn't a surprise for us.. we were outside and heard it being soundchecked... and It's OK.... and Education :) What a show! Worth spending nearly 8 hours in a queue for - was front row, left of centre in front of Jeff and Eddie, beside redrock...

Had a fucking amazing time.. best gig I've ever been to by a long way.

The crowd was orgasmic and the opener was a surprise to be honest but it sounded much better live than on cd which is sayin something. The Boys are back in town was a nice touch.Shame about Paddy Casey though!Ah well, what a night!

Nice. It was great in Vegas, they should open with it a little more instead of Severed Hand so much.

Man that's pretty hard core . I was on the ground floor ,about 1/3 from the stage. Had a pretty good view, i wouldn't of minded been up where you were though.

Yeah it was pretty cool to hear Boys are Back in Town, even though ed fucked up the lyrics lol.

  • Incredible night. Inside Job as opener, It's ok and education were highlights for me. "The boys are back in town" and education were not a surprise as I heard them being soundchecked.
Also, the crowd singing the first verse/chorus of Betterman was fairly special, as was Ed's reaction to the crowd for Crazy Mary. Oh and the end of RVM was pretty insane :D
Was front row, just in front of Stone. Have about 300 pictures, will post them tomorrow when I sort through them...

I've wondered how Inside Job would work as an opener. I kinda think it might be too powerful to open with and is better suited for a set closer. but i'm probably over analyzing things. that song is INCREDIBLE live, and that's all that matters.

Ed said it was a B-side type song that they hadn't played before and we were about to find out why! It was alright. I wasn't mad about it. Recorded some of it on my phone but the quality ain't great.

But the night was brilliant. The middle of rearview mirror was a highlight. So was the even flow drum solo. They messed up boys are back in town but no matter. Memorable night that made up for missing them 6 years ago.

They need to come round more often.

i went to dublin today without a ticket, i met message-pit-user axlrose at the spire, he sold me a ticket which i traded inside for a balcony-seat ticket. people weren´t allowed to dance up there, i couldn´t stand it. the crowd dancing like crazy and people on the balcony calm as if they were in an opera. at least that´s how i felt. i went up and danced behind the seats, wouldn´t have survived it otherwise ;-) but still great show, i´ve waited 6 fucking years for that like the other europeans and at first it felt lile it was unreal. when they played better man, i had to go dancing! looking forward to seeing them in arnheim and berlin
    it's ok

  • HOLY CRYIN' CRAP!!!!

just got home. hopes hadn't been too high, or was at least trying to stay realistic.. but FUCK ME! I can't go into it all here - only got 4 hrs sleep last night and have been on my feet consistently for the last 15 hours or so. Need sleep, but this gig - even though they didn't play a very long set - really surpassed all my expectations.

Full fanview to come, but for now make what you will of this:

Inside Job as an opener, It's Ok as a Daughter tag, extraordinary Even Flow drum solo from Matt - when he was the only one on the stage, the first ever performance of Education, and of a hometown classic The Boys Are Back In Town (with Mikey in Thin Lizzy tshirt). Plus Indifference, Fuckin' Up, passing the bottle around with Crazy Mary.

It was only 23 songs and 2:10, but they went way past curfew and lots of long songs and jams (Inside Job, Even Flow, Daughter, Rearviewmirror, Alive, Black,Crazy Mary, Fuckin' Up) made it the longest show they've ever played in Ireland... And the first time they've ever played a 2nd encore here. There were lots of things I would've liked to hear but didn't, but I truly have no complaints (about the show - the organisation was a joke). Fantastic, energetic show, rarities, covers, and a version of Black that almost surpasses the version they played here in 2000, when ed stage dived onto me.

And that's before I tell you that I threw my hallowe'en mask to ed, and in one smooth movement he caught it and threw me back his wine cork. And then came back again, singled me out and tossed me a tambourine during Fuckin' Up.

What an incredible night. Anyone going to any more shows on this tour, you're in for a treat. i just wish I was.

    More tomorrow...

The best experience of my entire life to say the least!

The show was excellent, the boys rocked out and danced so much, and were so interactive with the crowd!

There was no preset, but when we were listening to the soundcheck we just couldn't believe what we were hearing... The Boys Are Back In Town and It's OK... Ed seemed surprised that so many people remembered the words to It's OK.

Awwww... way too many good points... and photos to come!

One thing strange was that Eddie thought he was being booed. I sounded like "hoo hoo hoo..." to me. Didn't seem to effect him later though.

I think it's the best gig I've been to.
