The December show in Newark was one of the best Stones shows I've seen (been to about 35 shows over the years). It sure cost me much more than the Chicago show will.....I'll be there!
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

Anyone here a Citi Card holder?

My wife and I are suddenly trying to figure out if we can make the trip for the Chicago show, but we are definitely NOT paying $600/ticket. We'd do $160/ticket though (which I worry would be snapped up in a presale tomorrow).

    $142.75 - $600.00 a ticket :fp:

I'll have to think about that(with those prices). Might be better off saving my money for PJ's Fall Tour.

IF I can get tickets and IF I can get work arranged and IF I can get a good flight into Chicago (that part will be easy), we plan on doing this.

No one's more excited than me for the PJ fall tour...but it's the Rolling Stones. If I'm betting who I'll have a chance to see again after 2013, my money's all on PJ.

This is coming from a guy who's never seen the Stones though. If you've seen them before, it might be a different story.

If you've never seen them, and you're a fan, I'd invest in the experience. A Stones concert is really something else, and if you'd seen them before, you might be more tempted to pony up. Just look at voodoopug. People have been saying "this is the last tour" since the 70's, when I first saw them on the Bridges To Babylon tour people were saying that. So I really hate to say that, but as you pointed out, this really could be it. If I could get away, or they were coming a little closer, I'd go see them.

That was my point. I'm definitely trying to do this because it's the Stones and I've never seen them. I AM trying to pony up, because of everything you said.

The Stone have gone beyond greed ... IMO ... that haven't made decent music in what 30 or so years ... I saw Springsteen on his Wrecking Ball tour for around 35 + fees in the same seats the Stones are charging 167 for. I don't care if this is their last tour or not ... just greedy.

i've seen them 7 times already and I have to say it has been a spectacle each and every time. But I cannot justify spending the money they are asking for these shows. Normally, I wouldn't bat an eye at paying $150 for tickets but these days they have to be up close or on the floor. On the last tour I got 2 tickets (each $100 range) in the 4th row in Ottawa. Now $150 only gets you one single ticket in the nosebleeds. Sorry but for that money I'm passing on this tour and keeping my 4th row memories alive.

The first time I saw them in 1989, tickets were $36 (back row of 100 level at Skydome). By the time I last saw them in Montreal in 2006, I paid $114 for 300 level tickets.

I wonder how much Mick Taylor will play? He ONLY played on ONE song for those few gigs they played late last year. If he plays on a FEW songs, then yea, that would sweeten the pot.

I did see them in Newark, N.J. last year, so i'll have to think about spending BIG money again.

It was Midnight Rambler though, which is as long as any other 2 songs they played combined. I'm sure Taylor will probably be more involved if he's really coming back. I can't see them doing night after night for a tour like that just to keep playing that same song.

That's what I kind of was expecting ... And much more reasonable, will definitely try for the 85 tickets, if successful it'll be like winning the lottery.

I'm surprised they're letting any go for that cheap to be honest. $85 is about what I paid to see them on the Bridges To Babylon tour like 16 years ago.

I figured this was either planned as a way to combat some scalping or they heard the criticism about pricing and decided to rectify it ... either way it appears the fans win. I expected some tickets under the 100 price ... so this is good.

OMG! I fucked up big time. Not lies. I spent 45min trying on TM, and never saw an $85 option. So i went to the RS50 website, and of course that's where the $85 links are. I needed tix for May 25th but no luck obviously after 45 min. So just for kicks I try for June 6th and whammo i get $85 tix. I had to fucking throw them back because I'll be in Montreal. I think I may have a little cry.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I kind of got the impression from Keith's interview on Fallon that Taylor will be playing a bigger role on this tour. As in not just playing Midnight Rambler every night. I've seen a few other interviews posted recently that give the same impression, so that will be good. Sucks about Wyman, but I see where he's coming from. He has a terrible fear of flying and doesn't really want to fly across the Atlantic to play second fiddle to Darryl. Having Taylor on stage is one thing, because Ronnie doesn't have to leave, but you can't have two bass players and I think they're too loyal to Darryl to have him sit out long. He's their bass player now and Bill will be the guest. I can't believe how close they came to having a reunion of the '69-'74 lineup, now it looks like it will never happen.

I got the same impression from Keith's interview.

Today is third day of rehearsals. I'm hearing Mick Taylor is there!
I'm in for all three Chicago shows, including two of them with the 85 dollar seats!
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

It's official: I am more excited to drive to Chicago for the Rolling Stones than I am for PJ. And I'm really excited for Wrigley.
