Sure - they basically sang the harmonies from the studio version...They were three people from the crew. It was very cool, especially seeing something that random on the 4th song. Ed prefaced All Night with something to the effect of...(he spoke about getting the curfew pushed back after much haggling, and then said so we got all night tonight..."But that doesn't mean we can't experiment, here's a song we wrote 12 years ago, and played for the first time about a week ago...But we never got it sound as good as it did this afternoon, so please welcome 3 of our crew"

They came out and it was awesome...They hammed it up and had some Temptations like dance moves...Clearly, the time of their lives....They came out again for WMA and Who You Are (which was flawless - jack fans be damned)...It's all such a blur right now. Hope that helped.

I'll tell you guys, I'm so wired, I could be up for a while - if anyone has any questions - I didn't take notes...but will gladly try to answer them for you when I check back in a bit. WHAT A FUCKING SHOW!!!!!!!

My fifth PJ show. Two nights ago in DC, 9th row center--thanks Ten Club!!! That was a phenomenal show.

But tonight was, as others have said, A TOTALLY DIFFERENT UNIVERSE!

Really unlike anything I've ever experienced in my life, so much better than any other concert I've seen (including PJ) it's SICK.

Man oh man..what a freakin show! What a CROWD! Simply awesome. Thanks Ten Club for the excellent seats! Thanks to band for puttin on an epic show! Thanks to NYC...the best!

I went to WPB and although the band was great the crowd sucked royal. Tonight made up for it and them some! I mean the cement floor was shaking on at least 4-5 songs! Everyone is just sooo cool in NYC. I didnt see anyone leave at the end of the show...they just cheering and cheering! You can just see how in awe the band is by the folks that are here in NYC and that flock to this mecca have this experience.

I really am speechless. I am very fortunate and I can't wait till tomorrow.

tonight was the greatest night of my life. PJ was on fire. I've seen 14 shows and hands down no other show compares. If anyone argues dfferently they are smoking crack.

I sat close to the stage on mike's side and he definitely felt our energy. You could tell by his solos.

I can't believe i was privilged to see the greatest performance of pearl jam all time.

Ditto about the sound system at MSG. It is absolutely perfect...I heard no echoes, etc that you usually hear in a enclosed venue.

It really was perfect. I was underneath the low ceiling way back in the 300 section, and it made no difference.

Just got home. My friend who I went with got in the lottery. We were 2nd row on Stone's side. I'm still stunned. Maybe I can put together some coherent thoughts tomorrow and some sleep and reflection.
Best I can say for now is great show, great energy, great setlist, great being there.
Off to bed to rest up for MSG II...
Just waiting for my next show...

I just got home, and I can't go to sleep. This show was definitely something special, even though I would've liked them to have done a few more songs that haven't been played yet this tour. We did get Spin the Black Circle, which was maniacal in it's intensity.

Just an absolutely incredible show! The backup singers, the Ramone, Faithful, 1/2 Full, Leash, and so on!!!!

No words can describe that. None. I've seen over 200 concerts in my life. The Stones, The Dead, The Who, Pink Floyd, Clapton Tom Petty, U2, Pearl Jam, amongst dozens of others.

Not even close, best show I've ever seen. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

For now, all I have to say is that if you took rubber bands from the package near the B Poster line, you have me to thank! And to all of you who were grabbing them over my shoulder as I was trying to get my poster wrapped nicely without asking, you are very rude individuals.

thats funny. there were a lot of people on the street afterwards realizing they forgot they had bracelets to redeem kicking themselves. Guess you got "lucky" being able to focus on what mattered tonight right.

I'll give you a big one of many reasons that Pearl Jam is the best live band out there for me...
Tonight was my 25th Pearl Jam show, and at EVERY SINGLE one I have seen them play a song that I have never seen them play before. Tonight... WMA which I had only seen them do as a tag, and Watchtower.

It is going to be TOUGH for them to keep that going tomorrow. They may have to bust out Education or something. I would like to see them do Big Wave or Tremor Christ. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Had an absolute blast at tonight's show.

Three best quotes of the night:

"I now have 'Tom Brady love' for Eddie Vedder." -random guy outside after the concert
"I'd like to thank God who I don't believe in for this support" -Ed in encore
"Did they play Ten?" -some guy who missed the first part of the main set

How could I forget about Present Tense? The best version I have ever seen, without question.

PT was absolutely amazing. Mindblowing. And I agree that this show just had a different feel to it. can't put my finger on it. Just incredible, from start to finish. I can't believe how good Watchtower was. Reign O'er Me.....wow. The studio version is incredible, but I thought that would be impossible to carry ove rto a live show. But they did it. And how.

Only gripe I have.... do people really have to record half the show on their shit digital cameras/cell phones? The quality blows, and noone wants to go to youtube to see a 50 second clip. So put the camera down. You're blocking someone's view

ETA: Leaving, I saw a woman who was probably in her mid 70's. On the train home, I saw a kid who was probably 9 or 10.

Everyone needs to stop what they are doing and watch this. The camera work needs well... work but I tried my best to keep my hands steady, although I think it came out just fine. Anyway, chills will run down your spine. This is a performance for the ages. Mark it down. LROM - MSG/08... classic. Wow.
