Lets start from the good part. Im from Puerto Rico and FINALLY I saw them for my first time in Tampa. My GF- who is getting into the whole PJ thing- was amazed with the way I looked during the concert. I "screamed my lungs out" the whole night. Amazing set .The day after the perfect concert I got a call from my boss telling me we were going to our central office in NJ. After complaining for an hr I remembered that they were playing MSG on the 24 and the 25!!! Smiling again!!

Onto the MSG. Its been a hell of a week at work I got out Tues after 10pm... Anyhow my GF moved heaven and earth trying to find me a nice sole ticket. She did it. Section 223 for Wed night.

Along came Wed. My boss wanted to keep the car so I had to find transportation back and forth from Metropark. The taxi ride from Metropark to my hotel in Tinton Falls was $75!! but what the hell...PJ is priceless.

After the whole mess to get to Penn Station. I arrived @ 7:10. My mood changed instantly!!! The ambiance...damn after waiting too many years I was going to see them twice in two weeks!! The feeling lasted one minute. When I gave the E-ticket he told me "sorry, this is a Tues. Ticket"!!!!!!

I was devastated!! Call my GF- didn't had the energy to even put out a figth (anyone can make the mistake) She goes to her computer and double check the ebay auction. It was listed incorrectly!! The description everything was for 6/25- Seller promptly gave me the money. It was his mistake. I did the cancellations line but to no results. Im really in a heartbreak here. Being there while never being there sucks big time. Shame that I have to catch a plane back to PR tomorrow because I just should drive to CT for tomorrow's show.

People...I am addicted now. Currently planning my 09 vacations- hoping they release something and go on tour- to go to at least 3 concerts.

Hope u guys all enjoyed last night as I did in Tampa....

My daughter's very first concert last night... it was great!!! Couldn't have picked a better place, it being a hometown venue and MSfreekinG! My 292 seats weren't all that bad and then Eric & Bobby traded seats for the last encore and she got to sit up close. Ed gave her shout out because of her sign during Yellow Ledbetter.

LOVED Ace playing, Mike singing!!, SOLAT and so much more... still processing! :)

I saw Eric and Bobby outside MSG and they mentioned it was your daughter that got the shout out. Very cool!

So thankful to Chrisg72 that she had the extra for me! Without her, I wouldn't have made it to my 18th show...and what a show it was!

I've been praying and praying for a Release opener...and boy, did I get it! I think I even cried a little! And Garden at the Garden? Too much...

Having been at the Rangers Stanley Cup win in '94 (had season tickets for a few years)....the Let's Go Rangers chants brought back so many wonderful memories for me!

Thanks again, Chrisg72 (and hubby!) and thanks to the Hawaiians who let me sit with my brother during the 2nd encore!

I like how at the shows I've been to (all 2 of them) there seems to be someone around that is super into the music and knows all the words and then high fives everyone when a particularly awesome song comes on!

Sooooo true. I feel like I know pretty much every song from the albums, singles, and christmas singles, but you know you are hearing something special when that person a row or two in front of you starts screaming after the first two bars and everyone else has no clue what song is on.

Last night was show 35 for me...going back as far as 95.....

In all the years and all the shows...the people at MSG 2 show reafirmed my faith in Rock N Roll

The crowd was just bonkers from start to finish.....

To each of you that was with me....thank you!

that is awesome. Every concert she goes to now, for the rest of her life, she's gonna wonder why the lead singer failed to acknowledge her....

by the way, my wife and I did the math on the train. last night was my 20th show, and her 10th. Neither a major milestone, but kinda cool

there was someone kinda close to me, probably 5th row or so in the 50's. they had a sign that said 100 on it. I couldn't read the rest

I know that doesn't help a whole lot

My 25 hour adventure! 8 Hours to get to NYC, 8 hours IN NYC and 8 hours getting home to meet an 8am 6/26 committment in upstate NY. I'm pretty drained today but what a show. The crowd was really good, the band was on fire (are they ever not, really?) and a lot of fun as usual. Highlights for me were Rats, WMA, SOLAT (always), Who You Are. I was in section 91, and met the guy who'd turned down the 4 grand he was offered for his night 1 tickets - nice dude (you rock for doing that!), and there were also a couple of PJ virgins in the section. The only regret was having to leave early to catch my bus at the Port Authority, so at 10:59 I left as Last Kiss was finishing up, and heard Why Go as I was pelting down the stairs. The only *good* thing about that was I got from MSG to the Port Authority in 8 minutes flat at a dead run. I'm sorry I missed all the excitement with Ace Frehley and Black Diamond, but it was either leave early or not attend the show and that wasn't an option!

One joy for me was to have A Ramone in the building. I missed a Ramones show that I had tickets for because I was underage, and while CJ wasn't with them during the time I missed their show, it was just cool.

Well I must say, I have waited a loooong time to finally see the band (I am 41) and it was a dream come true. Circumstances including a long illness kept me from getting out there to see them and it was worth the wait. Release to open the concert was my wish and it came true. However, the high point for me was Black Diamond! It has been 30 years since I went to my first concert at MSG and of course it was KISS. Nothing like symmetry of hearing one of the first live songs of my life done by the band (with Ace rocking so hard!! on his fender) I have waited so long to see.

Want to thank the 27 year olds on line for beer who were hitting on my wife (she loved it!) and the band for playing the only song she knows (Last Kiss). I appreciate her keeping me company and see me truly happy (This was payback for the Barry Manilow concert I had to go to).

    BEST first post EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Congratulations
Glad it was so good for you
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Yeah, I loved Night 2's setlist better than Night one but night one had more energy and a bit more tense than 2 was.

So both nights were incredible in their own ways. :)

I said night 1 was my best show ever and there is no way night 2 could top it. Well, MSG 2 was show #21 for me and most definitely the best. So many highlights, too many to mention...but Garden, SOLAT and Go definitely stand out. For some reason even the songs I normally say I am tired of hearing -- Corduroy, Betterman, Alive -- last night I sang at the top of my lungs and loved every second.

The best part is I was wearing my Mike shirt that I bought at the pre-show benefit in DC, and that second encore most definitely belonged to Mr. McCready. I was blown away when Ace came out, and further blown away when Mike sang, blown away even more by Matt's great singing, and blown away one last time by Ace's solo at the end of Black Diamond. This was obviously a huge treat for Mike, he was beaming throughout Alive and YL, and his Star Spangled Banner was a great, great closer.

Eveyone says how nice Mike is to the fans, always makes time to chat, take a picture...he throws picks by the handfull, acknowledges people in the crowd individually. It's nice when someone of his stature still "gets it" -- remembers what it's like to be a fan and gives so much back to us. So, sharing this incredible night with him, which I know was a highlight in his career, watching him jam with one of his idols, it was just an amazing thing to experience.

I don't know if any show will ever surpass this one for me, but I know I'll never forget it. I'm looking forward to getting my voice back. :D

Tonight had to be the greatest experience of my life

Mike Mccready was amazing on guitar and Eddie was his typical self.

The floor was shaking so much during Better Man and Alive

I can't wait for this to come out on CD and hopefully they will put this out on DVD too it was that damn good

Still waiting for MSG to be relevant, were a long way from 98..... Where's the introduction of a rare/new tune. Both setlists average
