My only gripe, same as last night.....People----you're cell phone and your digital camera take really, really shitty pictures from halfway up the floor. So you don't need to take 400 pictures, when every single picture you take blocks someone's view. The row in front of me, almost everyone in it was on their cell phone the whole fucking night. One guy even sat down for most of the first set, and was texting thewhole time. Next to him were 2 dopes, who spent the whole show either texting someone and sharing their texts with each other, or taking the absolutely shittiest pictures you'll ever see. I know they're shitty, because every time you took a picture, the camera blocked my view, and I could see how bad the picture came out
Cell phones/texting and digital cameras are really starting to ruin concerts. You're AT the show, you can wait til tomorrow to discuss it with your buddy in the nosebleeds.
Well, first off, fuck this guy who said this since I just watched a load of video I shot from halfway up the floor using my shitty digital camera and it all came out awesome. Glad you can buy the bootleg in a week. I'll get mine too. Oh yeah, and did I mention you're an ass?
Anyway, I was in DC on Sunday and I have to say that an MSG show just puts anything else to shame. I was sitting with some cool people in DC and my seats were better, but outside of the 10C seats, the place was weak. At MSG the building was literally shaking at some points. Only regret is that I didn't get to hear indifference like all you MSG I people, but this show was freaking AMAZING.
For those saying phones are bad, yeah, i get the point, but there's one guy amongst you who made a call 10000 miles away so this very very happy man can listen to Garden in the middle of a work day in Sydney

nope, not me. Pretty funny though. I just don't get it. maybe I'm just a crotchety old man. I just don't see a point of going to the show, and spending all night on the phone. At one point, in the row in front of me, 5 guys in a row were using their phone for various reasons.
You shoulda taken a picture of them

It was AMAZING to see Matt and Mike sing...truly a highlight. However, overall MSG 1 was a hard act to follow. On it's own this show kicked ass. Compared to the first night (which is inevitable) there was a certain something missing...can't put my finger on it. With that said I mean, come on...it's Pearl Jam! Have you ever really seen them suck?! It's funny how hyper critical we've become. My friend and I have a theory about tonight. I suspect that about 70% of MSG 2 was there at MSG 1...and Tuesday night was a serious balls to the walls marathon ROCK AND ROLL show. We were exhausted today...I suspect many people were after that first night! Then after a full day of work to top it off...I was so excited yet so wiped out. I used every last ounce of energy I could muster up, but I don't think I was on par with night one (which was insane). I could be totally wrong with this...but maybe we were all just a little tired from the night before. I mean, I'm not 17 anymore!!! With that said though, they kicked ass as always. thank you to everyone sitting around us...you tried as hard as we did!!! A good time was had by all. Bravo New York!!! Until next time...

No you're right! Last night was a fantastic show. Tuesday night was an ACT OF GOD. A fucking MIRACLE.
I got to give a warm sincere thank you to Badabing for coming all the way from across the pond and offering me his extra 10C ticket! Thanks for allowing me to enjoy one of the best!
The only downside of the whole evening was that clusterfuck getting poster! What the hell
I just want to thank the 10 Club for the amazing seats!!! Thank you Pearl Jam for an amazing set list. This was my first PJ concert and it did not disappoint! The crowd was in high spirits. The band rocked. I even got a Eddie Vedder guitar pick, AND the first swig of his very good bottle of red! Now that capped off the night.
Also was one of the lucky to get a poster- and was promptly solicited for it- I had to hold on tight!
Thanks again for a great concert.
That is SICK that THIS was your FIRST SHOW!!
NOW you're REALLY, REALLY spoiled!!
A swig, a pick, great seats, AND this kind of a show for your first time...you are hooked for life now, man...trust me, as this was #23 for me ... it's the best addiction you could possibly have.
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!
...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!
Last night's show was unreal.
I can't say enough about how incredible the energy was...the floor was bouncing up and down...Ed made a comment about the stage shaking. lol
It was so loud with everyone singing that I couldn't hear Ed alot of the time.
Garden was incredible...RVM...I don't even remember GTF
So many awesome moments.
I have to say, I was pissed that they turned themselves around to the back, where I was sitting, for Last Kiss....I do NOT like that song. But in retrospect, it was actually cute...like a little wandering minstel band...matt with his little drum kit, Stone, Mike and Jeff just hanging out.
Ace Frehley blew me away...a living legend...as did CJ Ramone. I Believe In Miracles was incredible.
Thank you PJ!!!!!
Oh, and opening with Release????!!??!/?!?????
Amazing.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
Well I must say, I have waited a loooong time to finally see the band (I am 41) and it was a dream come true. Circumstances including a long illness kept me from getting out there to see them and it was worth the wait. Release to open the concert was my wish and it came true. However, the high point for me was Black Diamond! It has been 30 years since I went to my first concert at MSG and of course it was KISS. Nothing like symmetry of hearing one of the first live songs of my life done by the band (with Ace rocking so hard!! on his fender) I have waited so long to see.
Want to thank the 27 year olds on line for beer who were hitting on my wife (she loved it!) and the band for playing the only song she knows (Last Kiss). I appreciate her keeping me company and see me truly happy (This was payback for the Barry Manilow concert I had to go to).
Montreal/98, Toronto/00'03'05'06x2, Brad Toronto/02, Buffalo/03, Kitchener/05, London/05, Hamilton/05, Late Show Taping/06, Cleveland/06, Pittsburgh/06, Bridge School Benefit Concert/06, Hartford/08, Mansfield 1/08, EV Montreal/08x2, EV Toronto/08x2...
Well, gotta say the band continues to bring it. Both nights were incredible, I'm reluctant to say which is better. The crowd was fantastic both nights. GTF was off the charts both shows, just a great feeling.
The first night, there was so much anticipation that it was a pure cathartic release to hear them live again - not to mention hearing some songs live that I never thought I would: All Night, Who You Are, and WMA. They just kept the momentum going the whole night.
The second night was special because I brought my wife, who's just a very casual fan. But, she definitely enjoyed the show and they played her favorite song, Wishlist. I'm glad that alone made her night. And, I finally got Release!
I really didn't mind the repeats the second night - especially hearing Who You Are and WMA. I gotta say Who You Are is just a beautiful song and its a real nice departure from their straight forward rockers. I really hope they keep playing it on future tours.
All in all, these guys are just an amazing band and I feel lucky to have grown up with them. The energy, skill, connection to their audience, and the huge catalogue of music they possess is just incredible. Here's to many more years of jamming!
Well, first off, fuck this guy who said this since I just watched a load of video I shot from halfway up the floor using my shitty digital camera and it all came out awesome. Glad you can buy the bootleg in a week. I'll get mine too. Oh yeah, and did I mention you're an ass?

very nice. classy all the way. did you happen to notice that while shooting your video, you were probably blocking someone else's view of the band? No,because, as you would say----fuck those guys. And fuck the band too, who have made it a point to remind its fans that they do not want any filming of them. I guess they're all asses too. Block someone's view last night, and come on the board today and start hurling insults and curses. You may want to review the rules of this board, as well as the rules and requests of the band, when attending one of their shows
I think we must be 'old school' and remember when people went to concerts to listen to music
I noticed a lot of guys on their phones too,
and then they discuss it with their buddies, so I thought maybe it is a guy thing and I do not understand? I don't know?
I'm old school also and LONG for the days when I paid money to actually hear the band singing and NOT hear the entire crowd scream the words to the songs at the top of their lungs. I also don't get people that sit there and talk to their friends all show long, you're at the damn concert talk to them after. That's why I was so happy when the played Black Diamond I could actually HEAR the song......

Yeah, a small digital camera was blacking someone's view of the band. Doubtful. Take a step to your left and freaking relax. I'm not posting my videos on YouTube, so take another chill pill. Funny how you get on me for cursing, yet you have no problem dropping the S-bomb and F-bomb in your post. Classy.
Have to say I was surprised reading the MSG I reviews, some calling it epic. I thought MSG I was really, really good.....but I was blown away last night for MSG II.
Release was spectacular of course ( show #19 and my first RELEASE !!!). WWS tour debut. The MITS screwup with Mike apologizing. GARDEN, SOLAT. GTF dedicated to Brian Leetch (even though Ed originally screwed up his number). DTE and Go to end the main set. Love Inside Job to start the encores. Thought WMA night II kickes night I's ass. Little bit of a Betterman screw up, and the sickest RVM I have ever heard.
I guess someone told Ed he screwed up Leetch's number. Who's # 11 ?? Messier ?? Well 1 and 1 = 2 so its all good ! (or something like that). Then a huge LETS GO RANGERS chant.
Really seemed the band was blown away from the MSG crowd and of course the MSG crowd was blown away from the best band on Earth !!

It was pretty standard length. Not Epic like Atlanta '94 or even Tampa '00. Still so amazing to hear it with a fucking GUITAR SOLO (what a concept).
The remix from last tour was just blasphemous sacrilege.
When Ed goes back into the last chorus at the end and Mike is still wailing after his solo, holy fuck, that is the shit.
Worth everything just to see the REAL GARDEN AT THE GARDEN!!!
