missed out on the fan tix fiasco...was at sweet jane's by 4:30.

anyway, this was a show for the pearl jam fan. AMAZING set list. i took a guy who was a casual fan...even he was blown away and it was not a casual fan type of show.

    2 shows down...2 to go.

msg 2 was better from the energy point of view, but i enjoyed tonight and the set list more.

highlights: sad, brain of j, in hiding, can't keep, porch, immortaility. oh, and jeff playing lead on smile while stone played bass!

it was stone's night to be the MAN on lead (although i swear mike turned it up a notch...just not as many opportunities as usual)

    be safe all...see ya tomorrow!

Great great great show. I wasn't too impressed w/ the crowd. Not even a betterman singalong? What the hell? They did quite a few repeats again from MSG II but the ones that they didn't repeat were amazing. Finally got to hear SMILE :D!!!

great setlist. I was expecting a cookie cutter set for this tour and got nothing like that. It was a most pleasant surprise. Crowd was good though they can never be as loud outside as inside. Anyway, great night overall and this ends my run of shows for this tour and i couldnt be more satisfied. I love this band.

I agree, awesome setlist and show. By the way, were you the Boonie referred to on the screen with all the text messages? lol

PS. I was wearing the duct tape No Way shirt and I would just like to apologize to the dude next to me in the lawn who was having the time of his life (he called Can't Keep as the first song and was stoked). Anyways, if your reading this, sorry I disappeared, I needed to go down and mosh ;)

    WHAT A FUCKIN SHOW!!!!

just got back .. man, hartford rocked the house

right from the opening of can't keep i knew that this would be a special show. that opener got me pumped from the start

i and and everyone around me went nuts the entire night knowing every word to every song. lost my voice completely. hope it rejuvenates for mansfield 2!!

the setlist = OUT OF THIS WORLD ..

and man, idk what it is but i've seen pj 3 times ..
first show hartford 06, 1 song i wanted to hear most = sleight of hand .. got it
msg 1 08 second show, 1 song i wanted to hear most = present tense .. got it
3rd show, tonite, 1 song i wanted to hear most = in hiding .. got it!

    i like this trend ;)

as far as main set rockers .. breakerfall, last exit, brain of j, gods dice, big wave all phenomenal!

jeremy was fantastic.. in hiding AMAZING for me, not for you was off the hook .. sad was real cool.

IMMORTALITY WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. insanely amazing

i thought mike was ON FIIIIIIRE tonite .. even flow solo and porch solo jam were ridiculous. i think ed was in awe! he went over and hugged mike either after even flow or porch i forget.

FLAWLESS version of garden .. much better then hartford 06 version which i thought could not be topped! i guess when they completely nail the original arrangement of garden it owns even more then "new" garden.

leash .. saw it at msg .. rocked
saw it here .. rocked again
can't beat tousands of people screaming get out of my fuckin face!

and of course, a HUGE HIGHLIGHT, where i went soooo fucking nuts . BLOOD.
    KILLED IT! absolutely awesome!

when i saw jeff with the guitar and stone with the bass i screamed smile along with everyone around me. so psyched. it was great.
still can't believe this damn setlist. best of tour? just might be!

fuckin up was a HUGE surprise. awesome! stone and mike both kicked ass here.

so basically, this show was AMAZING!!!!!! i cant even express my feelings. you had to be there. it was brilliant. what a time i had too, great people around me!

unfuckinbelievable! cant wait for mansfield 2! but sad that its almost over.

    my mind is blown again!
wow! just wow! .. jesus .. ejgkjrewhgkjwegjegffgdhsghasdf

i feel terrible though for the 10cers who got screwed waiting in line forever, missing some of the show.. picked mine up early
AND for the people who were pepper sprayed

i live in ct and i LOVE this venue but HATE the cops, security, and everyone who run it

10c line was horrible, absolutely horrible. i was at hartford 2 years ago and i don't recall the line being that bad at all. i was stuck for almost an hour and a half and missed the first 5 songs or so (got in halfway through small town). and i missed can't keep, which i was really looking forward to hearing live, and i missed out =[

however, as everyone has said and made clear, the set was awesome. mike's solo during even flow was out of this world! thoroughly impressed with everyone in the band's energy, as usual, even with eddie's voice kind of on the fritz. can't wait for monday.

Who else here choked on the pepper spray when the event was over?

It was insane- I think the cops sprayed it when the fence got knocked over.

With that setlist though this didnt damper my night at all.

Just got back from Hartford. First of all, compared to the Hartford show in 2006, this one blew it away. As everyone else has already said, the set list was FANTASTIC considering the fact that the crowd was not nearly as good as I would have hoped for. Immortality, Blood, Fuckin Up, In Hiding were a few highlights that I was especially glad to see.

The first five songs were incredible to kick off a show. The only problem was that I did not get to see any of them (none of which I have ever seen live before in the 5 shows I have no been to) since I was waiting in line for 10c tickets. I know a lot of other people have voiced their frustration about this as well but I feel as though being fan club member and paying my annual dues should not relegate me to have to wait in line for at least 90 minutes to get my tickets and then miss the first five songs of the show. There were people behind me who I can't imagine got to see any of the main set because how gigantic the line was. I understand that the box office opened early in the afternoon but there are a lot of people (me included) who have jobs that get out around 4-5pm. One would think that you should be able to get to a show around 6-7pm and not have to worry about missing any of a band that starts playing at 9:15, but that was not the case in Hartford. The thing that made it worse was the people who jammed their way to the front of the line by cutting the hundreds of fans behind them instead of doing the right thing and waiting like everyone else. The fans who did not try to screw anybody and did things properly were the ones who got penalized in the end by having to wait even longer, which in my opinion is not fair and just plain wrong.

The actual show was absolutely incredible, arguably the best show I have been to and definitely the most creative set list. They sounded great and had a ton of energy and we even got a couple of laughs (Stone messed up during DTE and Eddie dancing with a girl during Leash). I do not want to take away from what was an unbelievable night by talking about something like picking up tickets and I apologize for the long post, but this is how I felt and I believe this feeling is shared by many other fans.

First off, thank you to LukinFan for being patient with me as I was relaying the show. I got my 10C tix at about 5:45pm then startED drinking heavily since I figured the show was gonna be a dud or a priceless extravaganza. I'm so glad I was there from the start to the finish w/o a piss break, weed, or booze. I got back a while ago but first I had to go through ever page of Hartford GTF thread and smile. I'm so lucky to have been there for my 10th show but the whole time I was trying to make my little brother enjoy his 1st.

He has no idea how lucky he was to hear this type of setlist.

    Highlights for me:

Can't Keep, Breakerfall, Last Exit, Gods Dice, Sad, Brain of J., Big Wave, In Hiding, Immortality, Blood, Smile, Fuckin' Up, YL/Little Wing

All I wanted from my four shows was to hear Release, Smile, and Fuckin Up. I never thought I'd hear Release twice and Smile & Fuckin' Up in the same night. I love this band; it always seems to surprise me. Thanks for being patient LukinFan. I was rocking out so hard to Big Wave, God's Dice, Can't Keep, Smile, Breakerfall, Little Wing tag, and Fuckin Up cuz it's the first time I've heard those songs in 10 shows. The poster is sick, the crowd was great (especially during Betterman and Alive), Sad was amazing, and Brain of J and Little Wing will never be forgotten in my memory. I'm off to the Goods section to purchase this boot and I appreciate all the thanks for relaying. As I was texting I was more in shock of what I was hearing then worrying about if I was missing important moments. Thank you to all and to all a good night.

Also, the poster is probably the most intricate Klausen I've ever seen. But there is no Klausen or D&L Screenprinting font on the entire thing. I wonder if this was a mistake or if Brad was really trying to make this a work of art cuz it is SWEEEEET!!!

Lastly, I'm SO THANKFUL that the band didn't play No More, Crazy Mary, Who You Are, W.M.A., or RVM. There were no repeats here tonight, and it was absolutely amazing. I wish I could relive it w/o the relaying, but that's what the boot is for I guess.

But what was with the 10 Club ticket line???!! Ticketmaster folks were actually walking by the 10 Club line and laughing at us! There did not seem to be enough staff...and most people, including myself, missed 4-5 songs! One of the venue staff said to me, "Well the ticket line has been open since 2:30!" Yea, that's great....but the parking lot didn't open until after 6! It would have been nice if someone knew what they were doing! Very disappointing...and I feel bad for the hundreds of folks behind me who must have missed more of the set than I did!

We got sprayed!! History does repeat itself..Funny thing is that this time they sprayed people trying to get OUT of the venue. I think it was the lady cop who did it as the fence went down...Freakin awful..my eyes, nose and throat are still burning...Agreed though it didnt put a damper on the night! I was worried that it would be a downer in between MSG and Boston... NO WAY... What a night. Great preshow party at Sweet Janes... a funny cab ride to the venue and a GREAT set list and show.... too bad for the spray.. must be something about "lets spray the crowd...after all we did it to them before"

Gods Dice, Smile, Fuckin up, I can't even think straight.

It was amazing. Thank you Pearl Jam for my summer vacation this year. It was worth every penny!

I feel all the cops around that area had bad attitudes. There has to be tons of people with asthma at that show and the pepper spray is very dangerous for them.

By the time we got out of the venue the fence was already down. There was woman cop yelling at people telling everyone not to walk over the fence and up the hill to the street (saved a little bit of a walk around). Nobody really listened and by the time we were half way up the hill we got hit with spray. Of course that led to people getting pissed off and SICK. In came the gear heads and the fire department.. As I said on a porch post.. Ironic, this time, 10 years later, they sprayed people trying to leave instead of getting in!

Absolutely floored by this setlist!! I was kinda late catching on to PJ and this was my 7th show after going to both MSG's. I actually enjoyed N1 MSG more than N2, and the 11 repeats really put a damper on MSG N2. How do they respond at Hartford?? THEY PLAY 15 F'N SONGS THEY DIDN'T AT MSG!!! Are you kidding me?? That's friggin' phenomenal. Plus, when compared to Hartford 06, which I was also at, 20 out of the 28 songs were different. Only Why Go, DTE, Alive, YL, Comatose, Garden, Even Flow and Betterman were repeated. What a fucking treat this show was, I put it on par with MSG N1 and for me personally it blows away MSG N2. Just a special set and I'm thrilled they did it for us. I heard 9 songs tonight that I never heard before, including what I wanted to hear the most, Brain of J. Wow...
