amazing show, wow....a perfect setlist for my taste...more dark & moody with Wash, Whipping, Satan's Bed...loved it. Definitely the most beautiful show I've seen in a while.
Me & Whizbang rocked our whole section into a complete frenzy too!
I don't know what you guys are talking about, am wondering if we saw the same show last night.
First of all they didn't play Bugs, which was a huge disappointment.
Eddie didn't take any time to discuss the Supreme Court's decision to strike down DC's handgun ban, which I was sure he would do.
And finally, instead of RITFW I felt that they should have ended the set with a nice subdued version of "Walkin the Cow", given that - coincidentally, there happened to be a cow on stage.
Come on, Pearl Jam, can't you give the fans what they really want?
Should have been there. Flew back for work. Had tickets. Damn.

Damn, I'm not ready for it to be over. But, since I'm writing this on Wednesday morning, I guess that means it is. But hey, at least I'm not at work.
Last night was my tenth Pearl Jam show, and I have to say it was one of the best. Certainly one of the coolest set list. I nearly shit my pants at Satan's Bed-- I hate that song's studio version, but love it live. And beegirl? Holy crap!! I may not have won the lottery, but I still feel lucky. Thanks Pearl Jam
tuesday ;-)
2000: Mansfield II (You had me at Release)
2003: Mansfield I
2004: Boston II
2008: Hartford, Mansfield II
You must've been right near me! I was in row H and everyone was really sweet about passing out the picks (I didn't get one; it's okay, I was happy to be sitting in front of Mike for once...that guy is WILD!). Everyone around me was really nice...haven't looked at my pictures yet, but I hope I got a couple of decent ones!
I was probably almost right in front of you, I was in 2 G seat 29, like 4 seats off the aisle.
Before Education Ed said "I hear that Boston isn't really a college town but we'll try this one anyway." Although I'm not sure if this was a joke since there are a ton of colleges here but I guess it isn't a "college town" as State College would be, for example.
!
Rent "This is Spinal Tap" and you'll get Ed's reference.
This was my 1st show
Brought my DAUGHTER for her B-Day
One of the BEST SHOWS I've ever seen PERIOD!!!!
Met some awesome people in the lot!!!!!
I gotta admit PJ Heads are way less jaded than Deadheads
THE WHOLE FUCKING DAY.........PRICELESS!!!!!!!!
Can't wait till the next time!!!!!!!
The show was great. Getting to hear "Wash" and "Bee Girl" was unexpected. I was confident about hearing "Satan's Bed" which was very exciting for me.
No assholes near me in Ten Club seating like Saturday's show.
Buy the boot!
"I'll end up alone like I began..."
"You need the patience of like a National Geographic photographer sitting underneath the bush in a tent, trying to get a picture of zebras fucking or something for the first time." -Eddie Vedder
Damn; why do I always end up going to the "wrong" show? Saturday was great and everything but Monday was something else.
Sure I got to see Hard To Imagine and I'm Open and that was awesome.
But Garden, Satan's Bed, Wash, Education, 1/2 Full?? Wow!! And than they top it off with Bee Girl.
What an amazing end to a Pearl Jam trifecta weekend! I heard so many songs I've never heard live before and I'm so blown away there are no words. Hearing Wash and mamasan last night....holy sh*t... I can pretty much die a happy woman right now. And Bee Girl, never ever expected that one! So beautiful!
Thank you Pearl Jam for another fantastic ride! Can't wait to see you again!
Dante: "You hate people!"
Randal: "But I love gatherings. Isn't it ironic?"
I had an aisle seat towards the middle which was perfect for pictures.
Thanks for sharing, Love #627.
Wish I had my fanclub seats last night. :(

Took my fiancee to her first PJ show last nite... She would be considered the poppy PJ hits kind of fan. I needed to just get out of my normal moment, and just watch her for a couple of minutes. It happened during Why Go. She seemed utterly in a trance watching Mike tear the shit out of that tune. I needed that. We had an amazing time and got to enjoy the shock value of songs that just don't get played anymore. Thanks again Ten Club and Pearl Jam. See you all next time....
To avoid a repeat of Hartford, we got there before the doors opened and got right into the venue and enjoyed some $8 beers. Once getting in some people sitting next to us in Section 3 Row GG wanted to sit with their friends who had seats in Section 2 Row W so we gladly made the trade to upgrade our seats to pretty much dead center.
Once PJ came out with Wash, Last Exit, Save You, it was obvious that there was a good vibe in the building. The crowd was fantastic once again and Ed was in a much better mood than he was in on Saturday. I'm a little surprised that Saturday Ed mentions that he was going to "test our endurance" and last night talks about how Mike is going to pay all of the fines for breaking the curfew, but they still didn't break the curfew. Regardless, it was an amazing show, and amazing experience, and what better place to end the tour than in Boston. I am now suffering from "Post-PJ-Tour-Depression" which takes a while to recover from....hopefully not another 2 years till another US tour.
Ed made another "maybe Fenway next year" comment...we'll see on that one, he's said it before.
I think it's extremely unlikely that they'll ever play Fenway Park unless Red Sox management abandons their price structure for concerts. Ever since Springsteen played the initial shows at Fenway in 2003, the field seats in the front sections have been priced at $400+. These are seats that would go to 10C members. It ain't gonna work at those prices.
There is a great outdoor venue near the city that hasn't been used for concerts since the early 70's. I went to a few shows there back then and it would be an awesome venue. I'm referring to Harvard stadium. It's a horseshoe shaped football stadium. For concerts in the early 70's (with acts like Janis Joplin, Ike & Tina Turner, 10 Years After, Mott The Hoople, etc), the stage was set up on the field in the closed end facing the semi-circle of stands. I think you could put 10,000 or so in there. It would be unbelievable.
They could even move the stage back to the 20 yard line and put seats on the field and accomodate 20,000 or more.
My first show in 5 years and boy was it worth it. I was hoping they would mention how ridiculous the lots were on Saturday (they didn't seem to be as bad last night as I thought it would be based on what I read here). Also after talking about this being the last show and Mike would pay the fine I was expecting them to play til 11:30, but it was just a tease. Not that I could complain about the setlist one bit. Loved the energy and vibe in the building. It'll be interesting to hear the bootleg because from where we were sitting (sec 5, row AA) Eddie was drowned out more then a few times by the crowds sing along.

to add to that..Fenway park SUCKS for shows. it is cool for about 2 minutes..then you realize you are so freaking far away from the stage.. i hope they don't play there...

i was pretty sure he said something more like "we really used to enjoy playing here" because it was right after the curfew talk.
The band picked Mansfield knowing the curfew issues. They like it.
I thought he was referring to the old Boston garden, now TD Banknorth Ameritrade Starbucks Viagra Garden... (cuz it was before they played Garden)

Great setlist, some surprizing treats!
I've always wanted to witness Wash as an opener!
The crowd was full of energy and the band fed from it and really seemed to have as much fun as we had!
My ass has sufficiently been kicked by PJ for the 10th time!!!!
