    Not only that, but Ed gave her his handwritten Love Reign O'er Me lyrics sheet. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that.

    Can't believe my camera didn't melt. I stopped trying to take pictures after the main set - it was just too hectic. Hence some pics being a bit on the wobbly side.

    When Pearl Jam toured Northern Europe in the early 90's I was young, perhaps too young to travel to and pay for the concerts. Not until the late 90's was it easy for me to go to concerts. Then they didn't come for many years, so my first Pearl Jam concert was Roskilde 2000. The hurt that evening brought on is impossible to describe. But I'm not here to write about that. Seeing Pearl Jam play in Copenhagen was an amazing experience. The way they performed throughout, the respect Eddie showed, the setlist, the mood, I was stunned. I saw them play in Milano and Torino last year, and while Milano had the best crowd I've ever experienced, and one of the best performances from a band I've seen. The Copenhagen show rivals it in excellence, and on a purely emotional scale this show was unique to me.

    It's hard to point out a single highlight. The band playing Love Reign O'er Me for the first time live, an amazing Given To Fly and WWS, the emotion from Eddie Vedder on Love Boat Captain and Betterman following his two mentions of Roskilde, the opening of the show, the incredible ending of the show. It was very hot in there, a few people fainting around me, after it was all finished all my clothes were soaking wet. But I walked out of there in a nearly spiritual mood. If I could, I would just like to thank everyone in Pearl Jam for everything they give to their fans, and the excellence in which they perform with show after show. Eddie said there could be no closure after Roskilde 2000, but we could all move on, learn and become better people (not word by word quote, but that's how I remember it). We can always try to be better people, but moving on can sometimes be difficult. I was a regular at Roskilde for a few years leading up to 2000. This week I'm going back for the first time since then. That will be another emotional event, but after this concert, I know I will enjoy it.

    Thanks... well we just kinda chilled for most of it and it was only for a few hours... we did the boat tour which was really funny: 'on your right there's the police station', 'on your left there's the fire station'.
