Sidney Crosby NHL’s most outstanding player, but is he the MVP?

I don't know if I have to win the MVP. I might get slammed for this but my top 2 picks are Ovi and Tarvares.

I just don't know if these 2 teams do anything without these players. Sid is a great player but is he the most valuable to his team?

yes ... how many goals and assist did Kunitz With Sid and how many did he after Sid. He had 8 points in 12 games without Sid and 44 with Sid ... so I'd say yes he makes Pittsburgh much better.

i doubt you'll get slammed ... those are legit mvp candidates ...

i just think that if you put sid in washington or long island ... you would get similar if not better results ...

I never said that sid doesn't make them better. I just think that Pitts. has more than the islanders and also the caps. as we have seen the last 3 years Pitt. is a very good team. If you take Ovi out of the caps they are not in the playoffs just like tarvares out of the island.

Well, the injury to Crosby has made the Hart a tight race.
Crosby is the best player today, but I would not be surprised to see Tavares walk away with the Hart.

Christ the NHL is so bush league. That Lotto drawing looked like a High School A/V club production.

And what a surprise, the Avs pick first...where S. Jones grew up.

I still question Pittsburgh defense and goalie. I like LA still and from the east i just have a feeling about Ottawa but i don't know why. they have just impressed me this year.

All I'm really saying is he took a average player and made him look like hall of fame material ... as evidenced by the fact he only got 8 points in Crosby's absence ... not so sure the other 2 can say that. Beside's Crosby still finished 3rd missing 12 games.

    I won't dispute your statement.
However, since I am a Wings fan,I cannot in good conscience turn my back on them.
While I'm at it,would love to see them beat the team I despise the most.

Nice start for the Hawks last night. I thought it would be a much easier game with Harding getting the last minute start. Harding played well. How awesome is Suter?? That guy better win the Norris.

Gotta love playoff hockey ... every team has got a shot ... harding played great last night and so did quick ... almost won that game single-handedly for the kings ...

But instead lost it single-handedly

He'll want to get over that Quick, shouldn't be an issue.

No Crosby for game 1 tonight.
This should give the Islanders a bit of a boost mentally. But maybe that's all.
    We'll see.

    Lets go Isles!

I loved that Blues- Kings game yesterday. NHL playoffs are great- I can watch every game unlike NBA where I only watch the Nets and game 7s.

I had no idea about Josh Harding:

Kuddos to him! I admire his drive to play. To be honest, I probably would have given up if I were in his shoes. Very inspiring!
