The outdoor games have been so great for the NHL.  Such a cool thing when it’s in your city

It was great hearing Hang on Sloopy during the game.

They also played Carmen Ohio at the end of the game (Ohio State alumni song).

I saw that. But I expect they are doing this to allow him to rest and free up cap space. The Lightning did the same thing with Kucherov a few years ago. I know he’s hurt but they are locked for a 1-3 seed in the division so no reason to rush him back. That’s my guess.

Watching Lightning panthers now and the TB announcers were saying that Florida GM isn’t  sure he’ll be back for playoffs so it might be pretty serious.

Considering the Four was an exhibition during break, you have two significant injuries coming out of it.

he’s gotta say that so people can’t cry “salary cap manipulation!”

don’t like the panthers and don’t like tkachuk but they’re hardly the first team do do this.

nah.  Im rooting for a 100% tkachuk to come back and beat the Leafs or Habs in the playoffs to show how much of a circus this circumvention issue is and it becomes a front-and-center issue as Canadian fans and hockey media won't drop it.

There’s never a good reason to root fit the Panthers (unless they are playing the Bruins).

This year with the Jets might be the best chance (in a while) at a Canadian Cup winner since the habs winning in 93.

    Believe it...

He's the only person I wouldn't want to see traded at this point (Not that he would be now that he's injured)... he's had one hell of a career, and it's been a privilege to watch. I understand why everyone hates him, (I hated the dirty shit he pulled in earlier years as much as anyone)  and if he played for anyone else I would feel the same way... having said that, I fucking love the guy.

He's a pest who only needs 19 more NHL points to be in the top 100 of all time.... yeah I would hate him too. (he might need a few more than that, as McKinnon will likely crack that benchmark ahead of him, but I digress).

I love Marchand.  I wish there were many more players like that.  That Rempe guy last year was the best thing to happen in years.

We need villains in the NHL that people hate, they can bring about a lot of emotion and excitement.

Marchand is also a hell of a player.

My gf is a Bs fan. I’m annoyed how much I’ve come to appreciate him: never gives up, produces more than you’d expect, and he’s a good interviewer. Wicked sharp on the PK too.

Currently tied w/ Sergei Federov for 6th most SHG of all time & if he's able to get 4 more, he'll stand alone w/ the 5th most at 40.

    Not bad for a pest.

Yeah maybe.  Although the Lightning reacquired their pest yesterday, getting Yanni Gourd back.  He doesn't lick people, but the way he plays gets under the skin.  I hated when we left him unprotected in the expansion draft.  Brisbois shows again that he will make the big move.

This would be insane to happen to thr most “no trade” city in the
league. I just don’t see it. Hopes were “deep into the playoffs” last year and were done in the first round. Hopefully Arneil found the issue…
