    Today was my Grandfather's favorite holiday. He hung his flag proudly. He stood at attention during the parade and he listened to the presentation made at the cemetery. He hosted a BBQ at his house for all who wanted to come.

    He died on the Saturday before Memorial Day 6 years ago. Today, I hung his flag outside my house. Today, my father, my girlfriend and I will continue our tradition of cheers a drink to my Grandfather. A special drink. A rum martini with pickled mushrooms (ya, it's gross...at first).

    Acknowledge today for what it is. If just in passing. This holiday has been around since 1886. Tip your hat, day a prayer or a thank you. Or just in the quiet of your own heart.

    It was awesome when it was The Edge. 93x plays some of the worst music I can think of, and I love rock music. Breaking benjamin, chevelle, korn, limp bizkit, powerman 5000, nickelback, the list goes on and on.

    I remembered some lame promotion they had a few years ago where they would give you a free beer if you brought in a copy of the restraining order your wife had against you. That's something that should be rewarded?

    I also remember the 2003 show at the Xcel in St. Paul. 93x had their "x girls" acting like a bunch of sluts and the PJ fans were just like "Eh, no thanks." There were these tatted up women dressed like barbie dolls just looking for something to grind on.
