Why they don't play All Those Yesterdays is a damn mystery to me. Start to finish that song is top notch.

I remember hearing them soundcheck it at PJ20 and I thought that it was finally gonna happen. Sadly, we now know the truth.
So god damn true. Such heartache! All those lost songs....
DAMN YOU CHRIS CORNELL AND YOU'RE STAGE HOGGING WAYS...

and PJ for starting 15 minutes late in an already crammed schedule...

To say PJ was a better band in 2000 tho... man, that almost makes me mad haha
The ONLY song I dont love on Binaural is Sleight of Hand. Its OK, but I hate it live - it just goes nowhere... but the rest of the album is awesome. For live purposes I think Yield is my favorite album though, but Binaural is right there.
Listen to it from Mansfield 03. I forget which night they played it of the 3, but it's probably the best live version of SoH there is.

The songs on Binaural are good, for the most part. It's the godawful production I can't stand. So fuckin' murky and shit.

Spectrum 09 kind of sucked.

Sure, they weren't set up to do the setlist things in 2000 that they pull today, but they were technically the most proficient musicians they had ever been in 2000. There isn't a sloppy show on that tour.

Was that the second Boston show? I was only at the first. But I got Parting Ways for the first time at the acoustic set at 7/11/03 in Mansfield.
you are correct, sir.

Pearl Jam in 2000 was out of control great. The shows I went to in Mansfield were awesome. Pure raw energy and sound. I would take them then over today any day.

It had a few moments of greatness, and they played some GREAT songs, but 95% of the time they were too drunk to play well.

The first encore of night 3 was pretty spot on though.

I hate to say it, but it's part of the problem. I think these people, as a band, really thrived creatively when faced with adversity. Nowadays they write songs about seeing there friends and fixing shit.

But, with that said, Pearl Jam live in 2010 and 2011 sounds better than it has since the first half of the 2000s.

It's a different type of energy. Sure, from 06 on they had the celebratory, frat party energy going that was infectious through the crowd, but in 2000 (and before) there was this intensity that came from the musicianship and turmoil surrounding these people. They still had something to prove and you knew it when you were watching them.

2010 show was great. I was kind of not feeling the 2006 shows. It was just missing something for me.
