if you got slob a steak with butter, catsup, steak sauce or anything else.....you're doing something wrong with the preperation/cooking. little salt/garlic/fresh ground black pepper is all you need.

And again where is this manual of what seasoning or additives should be put on a steak and are socially acceptable? That's really all it comes down to is people's perceptions. I love when I hear things like "the chef would be insulted if you asked for ketchup". Well fuck you. I'm insulted you're charging me 50 bucks for a steak I can buy for 8 bucks at the butcher. Pass me the Heinz bitch and enjoy your 50 bucks.

    THANK YOU!!

I always get judged when I order a steak well done. They give me that fucking look and it drives me nuts. Well unless you want me vomiting in your bathroom all night I suggest you let me order MY steak the way I want it!! :fp: :fp:

    I got your back half-pint.

if you're going well done....why bother ordering one. i get, some people don't like the blood...they are nutty, cause it's oh so tasty....or i'm weird. go slighty beyond medium. you get into the well done and you're getting dried out jerkey. and if you do that, you might as well order well vodka for your martini. :fp:

Because I happen to like steak, it just doesn't like me. It really isn't that bad once you get used to it. Although I have been getting lamb more often than not these days.

Either way...who cares how someone eats their food! It's not like he's forcing you to put ketchup on yours!! Just because the majority enjoy something a certain way doesn't mean everyone is going to enjoy it that way. :fp:

And that's where the whole perception thing comes in. What you view as "ruining" some others enjoy. :fp:

Thank goodness there's not only one way to make tomato sauce for my pasta.

Do you put catsup on your burger? :corn:

no...but you are missing the point...yes, you can have foods cooked to your pallet, but you can also over cook them and over season them which destroys the natural flavor of the food.

    mustard...

catsup is reserved for fries and meatloaf

I'll admit you were right on that one!

But I will not give in on this argument! For all the little half-pints out there that ever wanted to just pour some damn ketchup on their steak I WILL NOT BACK DOWN!
