ESPN clearly wants the Giants to win this. I can't wait for Belichick to piss on everyone's parade Sunday.

edit: I just cannot understand why ANYONE would bet against Brady/Belichick.

Yeah, I mean Brady/Belichick have never lost a game before.

Give B&B a 2nd chance against a team after a loss, especially with the extra week to prepare, Pats are (almost) perfect in the past 10 years.

Yeah, the blue screen says it looks like the only Giant that won't practice today was Bradshaw, although Osi wasn't at the interviews.

They were talking about some guys on the Giants having the flu about an hour ago on ESPN.

Sounds like a play out of Belichicks playbook. Like Brady with the boot in 08. Hoping that it would distract the opposing team or something. The Pats are so focused it's crazy. Antrel Rolle said on NFL Network this morning that if they thought they would lose this game, they wouldn't have even gotten on the bus.

What's the point on stepping on the field if you don't plan on winning?

No I can agree where his head is at, of course you think your team will win. Just most guys don't go and say it publicly on Media Day in front of the press. Usually that stuff is kept in the locker room or at team meetings I would think.

I hear you. Don't think he really said anything out of line though. Way too much talk these last 2 days, I just want this weekend to get here.

    And speaking of talking....2 things.

Tom Brady talking about how much he likes Jeter

    and

Rodney Harrison saying Eli is the better QB right now (not as a career)

Yep, that slow of a day.

I don't see what the problem is. I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan and I like Jeter. I mean what's not to like. The guy is in the 3,000 club, he was Hall of Fame material a decade ago, bangs super hot chicks and seems like an overall good guy.

And Rodney Harrison doesn't play for the Pats anymore so he can have that opinion. Maybe Eli (statistically) is better. I haven't really compared the two side by side this season. I'm sure NBC isn't paying Rodney Harrison millions of dollars to side with NE everytime. The guy has to have an open mind.

True, true. I thought it was a pretty interesting thought. I haven't seen enough of Brady this year to have an opinion on the two but was suprised he said that.

Eli throws more picks than Brady.

Oh yeah and here's one for the bulletin board. I've made some outlandish remarks the last few days but here's another...Ocachino catches a TD.

Yup. I'd even throw a flier prop bet on 85 as the SB MVP. It'd probably pay a million-to-one.

 Too much Three Philosophers Cliff.

Honestly, as we get closer to the game, I'm gonna get more nervous about the Giants beating us. Most of my remarks are to brainwash myself into being super confident.

Yeah, same here man. I was very confident last week but the more thinking, this game makes me more nervous.

So I watched a replay of the Pats v Giants November game last night ... have to say, I was a bit encouraged, notably on the defensive side.

Prominent roles on the Pats D that day ...

Phillip Adams (who was scorched all game, and ended the season on the Seahawks)

Tracy White (all I kept thinking was who the fuck is number 58 and why is he making Jake Ballard look like Ozzie Newsome???)

    Josh Barrett

Sergio Brown (who made the crucial pass interference play on the Giants last drive)

... I didn't even know who these guys were after the game, let alone before it.

This is the game both Patrick Chung and Brandon Spikes both got hurt and missed the rest of the regular season, both are now back. Not all pros, but it beats the riff raff listed above.

Anyway ... 2007 Pats won in the regular season on the road, Gaints won the superbowl ...

Let's hope that trend is compeltely reversed this year.
And you forgot Albert Haynseworth(less) escorting Brandon jacobs into the end zone on what would be his last play ina Pats' uniform...Pats are 10-0 since his departure, Bucs were winless after his arrival there.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Not betting against Brady/Belichick. I'm betting against the Pats secondary trying to stop the Giants WRs. The Pats have a WR that comes in to play nickel back!

My sweet friends and family," the e-mail began. "This sunday will be a really important day in my husband's life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl . . .

Edelman does a damn good job as a DB considering he's listed as a WR on the roster. Did you see him sack Vince Young earlier in the season or knock the ball out of Boldin's hands in the AFC Championship? Kid is all over the place of defense. he definately doesn't hurt the secondary when he is on the field.
