    as luck would have it, i will be on a plane at 8pm on august 24th (the scheduled time for our draft) for work-related stuff.

    if there are no objections, could we move the draft to tuesday, the 23rd?

    this is the second time i've requested a draft time change, and i promise it will be the last! :)

    I'm possibly interested in joining if spots are still open, but I've never been in a keeper/franchise league. With such a large roster/bench, are the drafts a couple hours long? Is the general strategy to pick young players or do you play to win for one particular season? Maybe I'll just take the plunge and give it a shot . . .

    all good questions...

    most drafts, regardless of league type, that i've been last a couple of hours. i expect this one to be a tick longer. yahoo puts a time limit (two minutes i think) on each pick so it generally moves along pretty quickly

    i've never played this sort of league either, but my plan is to win every year. :lol:

    and yes, there are still 4 spots open.

    Also, is this strictly an online thing or are you thinking of doing a live-and-in-person gathering for anyone who's able to make it?

    if anyone wants to go to a bar someplace in teh nw burbs and have a beer or two during the draft, i'd be open to that. it'd still be online, but i have a laptop i can bring. if needed, i could get my hands on two laptops.

    Oh, I drive. A lot. I just don't do it if it can be avoided.

    Don't pick a place to suit me. Pick the one that works best for all involved.

    Besides, I just checked the schedule and if we're not done by 9:35, I'll have to stick around until 12:35. So I'll probably end up driving anyway.
