i just joined. The SuperSonics shall prevail.

As for the $$ payout, may i suggest:

At $20 per head with 12 teams, that is $240. So,

    1st place: $150
    2nd place: $70
    3rd place: $20

This is pretty much equivalent to the percentages you provided, but these are prettier numbers... and I like the fact that 3rd place doesn't get more than his/her buy-in amount.

Regardless of the $$ payout, I'm looking forward to this.

a tweak to the payout might be in order. i like thrid making a little money.

    maybe

    140
    65
    35

    81,

any chance we could move the draft to the preceding weekend or some week night? i'll be out of town for a wedding on the weekend of august 27th/28th.

i realize this would only be fair if other people already in the league didn't object, but just thought i'd ask cause i hate missing a draft.

If there's any spots left - I'll check this out when I get home from work. Unfortunately, I can't get on that site here....work blows!

Let me know where I can send the $$$ to.

  • If we do weekend draft I'd say keep it on a Sunday evening. Or during the week, any night except for Monday!!!

Also let me know when it's payment time, or we will have to exchange numbers and find each other at PJ20. Either way is good.

adjusted the time to wed, the 24th. i didn't want to do it the week of pj20 since people will be traveling.

    we can adjust accordingly.

once the league is full, i'll post payment stuff on the league page.

Any spots still open? I'd love to get in on it. I'm in 2 other leagues but they're not franchised and the commish in my one league leans WAY too heavily on QB points. Gotta say I'm not a fan of that scoring system!

  • Hey so how do people usually handle the weaker positions like TE's and Kickers in a Franchise league? In normal draft leagues i would tend to just hold a TE and a Kicker, and when they had a bye week I would simply drop them and replace them. Does that happen a lot in Franchise, or do people have backups in those positions?

Ahhh...you rookies. If the scoring wasn't so screwy in this league I would teach you all a thing or two about dynasty football. :D(just kidding guys...no need to get all defensive or anything.)

what if i make passing td's worth 20 points, if the QB is a browns Qb, they get a bonus 30 points for just starting the game.

I like this and I like it alot. Browns QBs should have a fantasy points handicap a la golf. If a Browns starting QB makes it through an entire 16 game season and starts every game, the fantasy team that owns said QB should automatically win the league.

Would we than give browns recievers get 5 points per catch instead of the normal 1 since they have to catch passes from a browns qb?

Maybe it should simply be that anyone with the guts to start a Browns QB, WR, or TE is automatically awarded 10 points at the start of the game. Same should go for their defense. I hesitate to leave RB off of this list because we all know that after being the only bright spot on the team last year and now donning the cover of Madden '11, Peyton Hillis will get hit by a bus on the 1st day of training camp and Montarrio Hardesty will blow his knee out again in preseason game #2 leaving us to call 49 year olds Earnest Byner and Kevin Mack out of retirement to carry the ball.

    Sure that's just a reciever trapped in a TE's body though :D

Guess we will see how it goes...
