on anouther note regarding the waiver wire

currently it resets each week and the worst team is set to #1 on the waiver wire priority list.

unless there is a major objection, next year i'm going to set it to a rolling list. ie, if you are number 1, you make a claim, you fall to #12 and as others make claims, you move up the list.

    thoughts.

    So....

Pending the stat corrections, I lost this week by a half point. So that means I have a two-game losing streak with a point differential of 1.5 points for the two games combined.

    Fuck.

That's the worst! I started Jordy Nelson this week :fp: No one to blame but myself if I lose this week. I also have no idea how Alex Green got me 22 points, but I'll take it!

In my other league, I had a terrible week and got absolutely destroyed. That feels sooooooo much better.

Watching Magahee(?) get run after run was brutal. Thought that last one was it and then they pulled him. Still not counting it until the stat corrections are over.

Right now, I have a 2½ point lead on you. I can tell you right now what will happen the rest of the way. The Eagles will do nothing (or at least nothing involving Jackson, McCoy and Celek) and the Saints will kick a meaningless field goal. Final Score: Smoking Babies 170.5, JTH 170.

    Fuck.

Graham catching that TD took me out. Like 3-4 weeks in a row it's come down to the final game for me. I guess at least I've been a little more competitive this year.

Who'd have guessed Redman would have a career day against the Giants.

Eli Manning had better play well this weekend.

I wanted to start Andrew Luck last night but I totally forgot to go set my roster until about 7:20 last night which was, of course, too late.

I hate these stupid Thursday games.

Tell me about it. I set my lineups on Thursday and make a note to check the injury report again Sunday morning to re-set...but I usually end up forgetting to re-set my lineup and get stuck with whoever I picked on Thursday. :fp:

that app sucks. It drains my battery at a ridiculous pace. I had to uninstall it.

    really?

i've got the android version installed and noticed no ill effects. I also had the baseball app on during the season without issue.

i also run the espn fantasy football app without problems.

    weird

I dunno. Maybe it was one of the approximately 19 trillion games my kids installed that was killing the battery.

I'll try installing it again and see what happens.
  • Interesting standings in the league right now... 9 out of 12 teams are in or within one game of a playoff spot and no teams have been eliminated... pretty amazing considering this is a 12 team league with only 4 playoff spots.

BOOOMS scares me... hoping they don't make the playoffs!

EDIT: Huge matchup between BOOOMS and Schnappers this week!

Funny. I thought for sure that I was out of the running the way my season's been driftin'... driftin'... driftin' away since that strong start.

But I took a look at the standings this morning for the first time in forever and it looks like I'm still in pretty good shape.
