Does anyone know who the Asian kid with the angry menacing face and the hockey stick is?
I want to hire him as my personal bodyguard, he looks like he can kick some ass.
sorry i can't help but laugh.
anyone know who that asian kid, in vancouver, is? anyone?
you'd have to be from BC to realise how funny that sounds
lol I don't get it.
I assume there is a large Asian population there?
West Asian origins - 1.91%
South Asian origins - 9.94%
East and Southeast Asian origins - 27.88%
edit; wiki also said Richmond (next to vancouver) has an asian population of 60% but i honestly thought it was a lot higher than that.

And this fucking dingaling is the SMARTEST one in the bunch....
He truly is...
He went out and committed felonies all night...
And was smart enough? To conceal his identity.....
Its a shame, when this fucking idiot, is the brains of the bunch.....hehehehehe
that's the thing that irks me too ... these morons know people are snapping pictures ... if i was the judge ... i'd make them stand downtown wearing a sandwich board with the picture that got them arrested ...
Of all the BS going on the image that stuck out in my mind was of the 2 bruin fans that walked up to a crowd of Canuck fans and got knocked on the asses and the cop nearby turned around and walked away...probably thinking you stupid idiots.
I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

Sorry to see this happening in Vancouver. We cringed through mass exhibitions of bad behavior when the Sox won in 2004 (starting with the ALCS), and to a lesser extent in 2007.
Can someone explain to me exactly how and when it became necessary to, at times of extreme joy and despair, tip over a city bus?
Interesting.
We have a large Vietnamese population here.
Also Chinese and Filipino.
burnaby and richmond are largely east asian
surrey and abbotsford are largely south asian
there is a saying here
what is the border between china and inda?
the alex fraser bridge (it bridges surrey and richmond)
my favourite .. hongcouver ... hahah
never heard that one haha!
in the suburb i live in it is starting to become predominantly Korean
one of the reasons why it is so unaffordable to buy a house here is because of all the foreign money and people buying up properties, apparently. i dont know all the logistics of it - all i know is its riddonkulously expensive.
Granted, all my munitions knowledge
comes from Rambo movies +
Looney Tunes,
but do grenades really sparkle like that?
Also, I agree that rioters are twits,
but are we really surprised this happened?
And what, this is the first time we've seen
a riot break out after a sporting event?
Please.
I wish Canada could set a better example too-
we are the designated driver of the world-
but you can't begrudge the city
it's frustrations.
Move 'em all to Surrey + let it burn!
Cheers.
'Cause you don't give blood and take it back again.
never heard that one haha!

Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
At least it wasn't as bad as the riots in Dallas when the Felons beat the Milwaukee Beers in Denslow Cup IV.
Final Tally: 14 injured, 3 dead.
I keep seeing people say it was just a few people, or a few dozen, but watching the streaming video and seeing the pictures, it was clearly more than that. But a mob mentality did break out, and crowd psychology is a tricky thing. It's like the old saying: a person is smart, but people are dumb.
As for whether or not they were "real fans", that is kind of beside the point. The shop owners that had their stores looted, and the people that had their cars set on fire (including that BMW ) probably could care less about whether or not the individuals that did it were cheering for the Canucks at the beginning of the season or jumped on the bandwagon during the playoffs. Or whether they went downtown to watch the game or to riot.
People are people, there have been riots (and yes sports riots) all over the world. To me, nothing that happened in Vancouver, last night or in '94 (or any N. American sports riot) is as bad as half the stuff that happens in the name of soccer/futball around this world.

A stun grenade, also known as a flashbang, is a non-lethal weapon. The first devices like this were created in the 1960s at the order of the British Special Air Service as an incapacitant.
These grenades are designed to temporarily neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by disorienting their senses. The flash of light momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately five seconds until the eye restores itself to its normal, unstimulated state. The extremely loud blast produced by the grenade adds to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the ear.
When detonated, the fuse/grenade body assembly remains intact. The body is a tube with holes along the sides that emit the light and sound of the explosion. This avoids shrapnel injury, but can still burn. The concussive blast of the detonation can injure and the heat created can ignite flammable materials such as fuel. The fires that occurred during the Iranian Embassy Siege in London were caused by stun grenades. The filler consists of about 4.5 grams of a pyrotechnic metal-oxidant mix of magnesium or aluminium and an oxidizer such as ammonium perchlorate or potassium perchlorate.
So the dude's junk probably doesn't feel good this morning...
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
