I can't see it being dmb or pearl jam. The reason I can't see it being pearl jam is that they play Montreal on the 7th and Toronto on the 11th and 12th. Can't see them playing 6 shows in a row or even 3 shows in a row at this point. I also don't see dmb going all the way from the gorge to Fenway

I suppose it's entirely possible. I would hate on it like a bastard if it did, though. Dave's played there twice in the past, what? 5 or 6 years? I'm a DMB fan, but enough is enough with those guys at Fenway.
i'm guessing it's DMB festival only cause the music starts each night at 5pm. no way in hell pj plays for 5 hours or has another festival.

Maybe they play one show at Fenway but certainly not more than that. I really don't think they will play three shows in a row anymore, and most defintely not 4, 5 or 6 in a row. Could you imagine what Ed's voice would sound like by the end?

There are only two ways I see this working: a one night only show on Friday, September 9th (the most likely of the unlikely scenarios) or two shows on the 8th and 9th meaning they play three nights in a row starting in Montreal. There is no way they play three nights in Boston and six nights in a row overall.

UGh...All this means is the time they will open the park to vistors. It's Pearl Jam. I heard this rumor from a "very credible source" over a month ago.

Who's to say it's not just a one night gig, or that there could be two artists over as many nights? (Just because the permit requests all three days doesn't nec. mean those are all concert dates; the permit may have to allow for the construction & deconstruction of the stage)

I agree withthe other posts though. No way are they playing on the 8th or the 10th in Boston considering the other gigs.

The DMB festivals are multiple stages, and there is already one in NY and AC for the "Northeast" It wouldn't really make much sense. Also, the festivals start at like 2pm each day on way bigger locations, with a lot more bands than this could fit.

I just think it's pretty stupid to guess it's a DMB festival because of start time. Fenway would never host a festival and if it was a DMB festival it would start around noon. It's Pearl Jam and it's one night...September 9th....

Also, sorry to sound like I am belittling you. I don't mean to come across like that.

I was just discussing in another thread that I may be available to go to the meeting at City Hall on Monday. I'll keep everyone posted. If nothing else comes up, I'd be happy to tweet anything of relevance.

    I'm a pretty rational person.

I'm in finance, my job is to look at data, make sound judgements, be conservative and protect the company assets .. blah blah blah.

I also don't let me emotions get the best of me ... I never "count my chickens before they've hatched" ... blah blah blah ...

But, uh ... holy fuck am I pretty damn excited for this to become reality.

    Someone please feed my pessimism.

I really believe this is the year.

PJ20 did not sell out, Fenway is a definite sell out. You think they would rather sit around Toronto or drive a few hours and make the bank on a sold out stadium show? They are selling Vans shoes, so I think they would take the large pay day.

They know this is something fans have wanted, so why not on the year they are billing as special?

In all honesty this is a longshot to happen. I think we all know that. But oh would it be wonderful if it did happen!

They wouldn't say because she didn't want to get in trouble but I can tell you that it is not Pearl Jam. She would only give me the band name if it was Pearl Jam.

Yeah, it was a longshot at best. 99.9% it was not to be. Still, until that hearing comes about on Monday that .1% will still be holding out hope!
