I inputted my CC card info around 10 times, but the site keep crapping out before it could complete my transaction. I view that as I was trying to complete my transaction. I subsequently was kicked out of the site until just before midnight. I kept trying to get back in since I was in the middle of my transaction when the site stopped working for me. When I got back in, it said my cart was empty, but it allowed me to re-insert the Alpine Valley package and I was able to checkout.
Given I was at the CC entering page for a 1/2 hour 2 hours earlier, I felt that I was in the middle of the transaction. The fact the site dumped my cart is inconsequential to me as I was in the middle of my original transaction.
Again - I sympathize with everyone in this dibacle, but do not feel like I did anything wrong or unsavory and just wanted to help out those trying to get tickets.
I agree.
I guarantee that I had tickets in my cart as of 6 PM CST last night. I pushed through when I got home from work and bought tickets shortly before midnight.
I feel like the 10club post about "finishing in-process transactions" was vague enough that I was just finishing the transaction from 6 PM, even if they were "new" tickets. At 6 PM, even though tickets were in my cart and I got to the credit card page, I could not complete it. I feel like I was in the right in getting tickets, considering I had them in my cart and should have been able to pay for them hours earlier.
To me, even if they were "new" tickets, I was completing a transaction that I was not able to complete from spending the first 6 hours of the sale dealing with 500 gateway errors!0 -
everyone had tickets in their cart at some point yesterday though.0

This process is just screwed up. 10c needs to find some new IT people...seriously. It's obvious that this whole process is on a shoestring budget. When they finally came to the point where they knew they had to upgrade their system they probably had the Best Buy Geek squad install it.
This shouldn't have happened. Any IT person worth a dog turd would have known what the capabilities of the system would be. Because it is taking this long to fix it is proof that it wasn't done correctly.
You have to wonder why 10c is being so cheap with their ticketing budget. Putting a band-aid on this issue will do nothing but cause problems in the future. I agree with firing whoever's in charge of ticketing and hire someone with new and more innovative ideas. There's just so many things wrong with the ticketing issues that they need to scrap the entire thing and spend good money on a new way of selling tickets.0 -
exactly i think most people had tickets in their cart or even got through to the third step of checkout at some point so surely if we were to all keep trying the server would never work again!I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!0

I don't care if you got tickets after the messages, but could we please stop feeling good about ourselves because you got tickets before Tim's SECOND message. His first message saying hold on, we're down was at like 3:38 EST or 12:38 PST (see his GIGANTIC apology). So, that's really the time we should be talking about. Not his 6:30 PST (9:30 EST) message that said we're rescheduling everything.
Again, I don't begrudge anyone. It was there for the taking and you took. Just trying to adjust the perspective a bit to the reality of the situation.
EDIT: To be perfectly honest, I would have done the same thing. But, I would have felt a little dirty about it (though thrilled). I also wouldn't be on here celebrating - I would have done what some did and said - here's how you do it. So, again - not judging. Just put it in the proper perspective.Post edited by EdsonNascimento onSorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -

Come on Speedy, this has been happening for years with the server crashing, and you know it. Running an efficient business means spending money and having the right people run the equipment.0 -
I personally think they should NOT outsource cuz then someone else has the power,
to use and abuse.....
I trust 10c....0 -

Yesterday was a full blown meltdown...
I just want to get an explanation first, as to what happened...
Then we can start putting people on unemployment!!! hehehehehehe
And Jeanwah, I hope you are feeling better these days....Take me piece by piece.....

I do not have tickets yet, hoping to get them today. Have had them in my cart a few times and never got past my shipping address. The only thing I will say is, they should have seen this coming. There have been issues with just about every show and every tour. It took me 2.5 hours to get my Ed Ved tickets to Detroit. They had to have known that this Pearl Jam celebration would be the most sought after ticket they have ever put up on here, and if they couldn't get through other tours without issues, how they thought they could get through this one without them, is beyond me.words seem so out of place.

Yeah, an explanation would be really nice.
I'm feeling better lately, in no condition to attend a festival, but glad to be walking with a cane. Thanks for asking!0 -

Your email must be wrong.
$334 is what I was charged for one set of reserved and one set of lawn. There are cheaper options, and some very high priced travel packages.
Should be in your email. Wonder if you got the same email everyone else did?Post edited by Given to... on"...would you like some forks?" EV 12-02-060 -

Probably some good news for those of you who were able to get to the credit card screen, hit submit, and have charges showing through your credit card company. Below is the email I sent the 10c and the response I received.
To Whom can help me please,
I’m sure everyone is aware of the debacle with the PJ20 ticket sale yesterday. With that said, all I’d like to know is if I have tickets or not. I made it all the way to entering my credit card info and hit submit but was then booted. The charge shows up on my credit card transaction history but I have not received a confirmation email and I haven’t been able to get into my order history in the goods section on your website. I just want to know if I need to try and buy more when the pre-sale resumes today or not. Can someone confirm if I have tickets yet please?
Response:
You have an order in your account, so you’re good to go. You will receive a confirmation email after the sale ends.
Thanks for your patience,
10c0
