    but I am doing like 1000% better today. I had a real good meeting with my "ostomy nurse" yesterday and got some new "stuff" that will probably work better for me. I'm taking it easy but I'm no longer shutting out the world (that only lasted a day and a half :lol: ). things will be just fine for me. I'm not looking forward to the oct-dec chemo but I'll chill this month, go see PJ at the end :mrgreen: and deal with the chemo when I deal with it.

    Codie is my rock and I'll probably put a picture of Gracie in the doggie thread - she sticks pretty close as I sit in my (borrowed) recliner :mrgreen: . the recliner is my new home...doctor's orders: don't sit square on your ass for awhile :shock: :lol:

    You were on many minds this weekend Rob, including mine. I hope you are having a better day. Just don't be hard on yourself. Allow yourself to be angry and upset....to grieve the life you had before. This could never be an easy change to embrace for anyone--and though I cant even fathom the challenges and changes you have faced since your diagnosis, I DO know that you are one amazing person and with your attitude and spirit, one day this "new reality" will be much easier to accept.

    So well put. Kelly, I'm sorry I missed you as well... it was a crazy weekend with not nearly enough time for everything I wanted to do and everyone I wanted to cross paths with.

    It should be known that Jen and I dedicated our weekend to you, and I had you in my mind the whole time. Especially when they played Just Breathe. :lol::lol:

    As many others have said, your attitude and strength with this trying time is an inspiration to me, and I'm sure many others. For the short amount of time I've known you, I'm well aware of how kind, caring, and generous of a person you are. Having the emotions that you have experienced is natural, and you are inclined to have some rough days. Hell, this isn't an easy change as you certainly know. But you're going to handle it like a champ because that's what you are. You're a humble guy, so I have a feeling you wouldn't want to exploit it too much, but I'm confident in my notion that you're a hard ass that will stop at nothing, and you will undoubtedly make what you've experienced a stepping stone to becoming that much more of an amazing person.

    Keep on being the wrecking ball of courage and strength that you are and continue being an inspiration to us all.

    For what it's worth: you've had major surgery and have a major lifesyle adjustment to make. Things you know, I know, but be kind to yourself. It's okay to get down but its better to pick yourself up and keep on keeping on. You've been incredibly strong to this point and will continue to be strong. Be easy on yourself and give yourself some credit. And hang in there as we're here for you!

    My friend and I were randomly standing in front of GivenToLukinKP while waiting in line for the PJ museum at PJ20, we were chatting for awhile, I didn't make the connection and all of a sudden she whips out a giant ring of "Save The Pooper" bracelets...my friend and I were like "Holy crap, can we have a couple of those?" So you were in our thoughts in the PJ Museum line. I lost my bracelet already because I suck :? , but she's going to ship me a new one. :mrgreen:

    and...I did take my doggie to the park this morning. not bad for a week after having my rectum removed :shock:

    BIG favor to ask....but only if someone has an extra lying around or found out they got the wrong size....

    my brother in law has been there for me every step of the way through this journey....he has walked my dog when I couldn't, he has cooked meals and he has always been ready to share a beer when I've been up for it...

    he's also a HUGE GB Packer fan (sorry, Kelly ;) ). if anyone has a line on one of those packer/PJ20 t-shirts (XL or L, if they run big), I'd like to get one for him as a christmas present. dcfaithful can attest, my brother in law is a good, beer drinking, PJ loving dude. I'll pay.....but not ebay flipper prices :evil:

    apparently, Miss Kelly and Mr Dave (dcfaithful) also threw in on the hoodie, along with my friends from Wyoming. You guys are the best!!! :mrgreen:
