looked it up...lakers have missed the playoffs only five times since their inception in 1948 and the last time was 2004 (must have blocked that out )

That was a fantastic article, thank you for sharing.

The NBA desperately needs players with class and integrity like Brandon Roy. It's a shame to see such a guy with great character and talent have his career end this way.

I hope he returns to the Blazers int he future in some capacity or another.

Behind the Jazz, I've always been a fan of the Blazers franchise... but I don't feel as emotionally attached to the team like I do the Jazz (having grown up in Jazz-country), but reading all the support from the Portland fans, and the obvious connection Quick felt with Roy through the years of covering him... it kind of breaks my heart.

I hope Brandon realizes that not just Portland fans appreciate his honesty, class, emotion, etc., but many other fans do. He was great for the league. It's a fucking shame that he wont' be able to influence it anymore.
