so does anyone read any nba blogs? I'm asking because I used to do one in the primitive days of blogging in 2004.

I read the local Jazz blog, SaltCityHoops.com.

I also visit JazzFanz.com too, but that is a message board not a blog.

    lot of crazy trade talk....

Nets going for Howard, Rondo to indy...

Brandon Roy might be back in portland.

    Nene to the nets?

Butler wants to be a bull (who wouldn't) but more likely to end up in Clipperland????

Yep and now D.Will won't sign the extension (yet) with the Nets and CP3 requesting a trade to the Knicks.

    Yes I am!

I've always liked the Blazers franchise. Any word on what's up with Oden?? That man has been a "what if" kind of player, a bust you could say. It's too bad he hasn't been able to play more...

Boston should not trade Rondo, imo.

Howard and Deron Williams would be a great duo to watch... I wonder if New Jersey (soon to be Brooklyn) can pull it off.

CP3 to the Knicks is another big one. Don't know how I feel about that big three. Knicks should think carefully about that one and take into consideration that having 3 talented superstars isn't the one and only key to winning. What about a strong bench... or seriously jsut improve their defense. Melo can be a prolific scorer, and Stoudemire has got a lot of value too.

I wouldn't underestimate the value of Billups either. I know it's the populary criticism for NY, but I agree with it: If they could really improve their defensive philosophy, they could be a stronger team.

he's out until at least Jan....

    still recovering from microfracture surgery......

portland offered him a qualifing over of 8.8...which means he can sign anywhere as a free agent, but portland can match the deal if they so choose.

I'd imagine when the new CBA is officially a done deal. The lockout isn't officially over yet if I'm not mistaken.

If (a big if at that) Oden can recover and be a consistently healthy contributor on their roster, along with Gerald Wallace, Aldridge, and Felton... I think Portland could be alright. Might be time to see what they can get for Roy...

Aside from all the big names though, I am just desperately hoping that Utah can somehow grab something of value from the free-agency market.

Talks of Millsap (and possibly Jefferson) being shopped around have surfaced, Indiana being the first team of interest I read about, but at this point it's all speculation.

If you were a GM, would you rather have Millsap or Jefferson?

i think the CBA is pretty much a done deal at this point...i'd be shocked if it fell apart......considering they are opening up training facilities...

as for the schedule,.i want to see it as well, i just assume they have to rework everything....which takes a lot of work. that's what 990 games they have to plan for.

Definitely a lot of work. I would consider it done too. It'd be the most idiotic and suicidal move to back out of it now. They would seriously kill so much of their fan support. Never say never though, I mean... it took the NBPA 4 months to decertify.

Should've done that in August... September at the very latest.

that was one of the last things they had to iron out. i thought if their current contract was signed prior to the lockout it could be used...

Maybe....but why would you trade for somebody to just cut him.....when you still have to pay him. Maybe if you get some draft picks with the player

i want the sixers to dump iquadala's salary for a pick and/or young player with upside along with another bad contract. then use amnesty on the bad contract.

What the hell's this amnesty bullshit? The NBA has a rule now where you can have a mulligan or call, "Shenanigans"?

•Each team permitted to waive 1 player prior to any season of the CBA (only for contracts in place at the inception of the CBA) and have 100% of the player's salary removed from team salary for Cap and Tax purposes.
•Salary of amnestied players included for purposes of calculating players'agreed-upon share of BRI.
•A modified waiver process will be utilized for players waived pursuant to the Amnesty rule, under which teams with Room under the Cap can submit competing offers to assume some but not all of the player's remaining contract. If a player's contract is claimed in this manner, the remaining portion of the player's salary will continue to be paid by the team that waived him.

ototo? Baxter, you know I don't speak Spanish.

The NBA's a fucking joke. Can't wait till they have the same problems again in 6 years when the players opt out.
