i know i've said it before but nba tv is awesome. i think it's the best of any league's channel. there's always some old school game from back in the 80's or 90's that i find myself watching. the bird/magic hbo doc is on now. so good.

That's a classic. I was 10 years old and I still remember that moment so clearly.

I was only 4 years old at the time, but had I been able to comprehend it, I would've been pulling for the Chuckwagon as well.

I wasn't even 1 yet :( so I didn't comprehend it, I really wish I could have a fan back in the 80s and 90s to live through some of that stuff

I really only recall the later 90's, probably from 96 onward. MAYBE a bit of 95. The NBA used to be playing ALL THE TIME in my house as a kid... I think my earliest memory of watching a game was one of those intense match-ups between Indiana and New York. Fuck yeah, Reggie Miller. The Knick Killer is who inspired me to work on my long range shot in the drive-way for hours.

I love Reggie, never really knew much about him back when he was popular but now I have him as my second favorite player of all time behind Alonzo Mourning. The first game I remember watching (I was a heat fan back then) was the Heat playing the Lakers, I was like six years old watching the game with my mom and kobe hit a game winner at the buzzer, I was like screaming at the TV saying to the refs that he didn't get the shot off in time, then I cried I think

I kind of caught the latter half of Jordan's career, mainly the whole "He's Back!" and onward. So I got to see him take down Seattle in 96. I most remember Jordan though for just shutting down the Jazz two years in a row. :x

Jordan was the only obstacle we couldn't defeat.

we were watching some of that...

Charolette had a lot of talent on that team..don't know if they would have won a title, but they would have been contenders had they kept it together

    Larry Johnson (pre back surgery)
Alonzo Mourning (kid and play hair cut)
    Curry to shoot
and the midget on the point.

there was always a rumor growing up that kendall gill would always shoot hoops at the court near my house. always thought that was a weird random rumor.

yeah i've been to the td garden or whatever they call it now. never been to the old garden or chi stadium. new places, in all sports, don't have the charm of the old school ones.

What are everyone's thoughts on this rumored all star "World Tour"? sounds to me like it could be pretty cool and display that the players really do love playing

Good memories...I grew up about 20 minutes away from Charlotte and loved those teams....up until George Shinn's douuchebaggery that lead to trading away Mourning and Johnson.
