I hope Dirk steps on Bron Bron's knee in the first minutes of Game 2, completely tearing LeBron's ACL, rendering him useless for the rest of the series.

yeah, berea (or whatever his name is) blows.

I agree. I think if the Lakers would have decided to actually put forth any type of effort at all they would have won that series, it was an embarrassing effort. I just want to see some entertaining games.

Dallas had 22, Miami had 21 fouls.

Dallas had six more attempts from the line.

i only watched the second half and it seemed miami were getting a lot of calls go their way ... maybe my dislike for the heat is playing out here ...

I was rooting for LeBron and the Heat, and though he got a crappy call against him early on when JT fell over, it did seem like a lot of stuff went Miami's way. At the same time though this game is exactly how the last month's worth of Heat games have looked. The other team blows it out trying to get ahead and keep their faces above water, then the rested big 3 come in and drown them.

those are only called fouls, nobody really knows what the real foul count is. nba refs are the worst.

how does this run compare to the 06 title run? is it more exciting because of lebron, or was the first one more fun because it was the first.

I HATED the '06 Heat, that title should have an asterisk that says only won because Mark Cuban was the other team's owner. I still have a tough time rooting for Wade because of it. Either way I admitted earlier I only root for the Heat because of LeBron, just like I only rooted for the Cavs because of LeBron. No one gave me shit back when it was the latter, when he was owned by a dickface, and a sour grapes town rooted for him. If the NBA is a star league why would fans who grew up with no NBA town within 6 hours of them root for anything other than stars? Fraud me up all you want, but I have always rooted for LeBron and I really want him to win so people like Skip Bayless will be sad.

i just wanted to hear you say it again.

lebron is a fraud. cowboy/yankee fan in the cleveland area. doesn't get much worse than that.

lebron is also a douche. has been since his high school days when gloria "bought" him a new car for his birthday. if he played for state, he would have been the first in line for the jersey for tat program.

    yes, he can play basketball.

I still don't get the "rules" for rooting for teams. There are so many loopholes for loopholes that every argument has more holes than swiss cheese. I could get the rooting for the home team in like the 1800s when cities were actually represented by their inhabitants (even though that's a bit dodgy). However we live in the 2010s where players are free to come and go, come from international places, come from other cities, etc. All rooting for "the home team" is then is rooting for some symbolic embodiment of a past that never really existed. Go read some Baudrillard, then give me a hard time ;).

you get the rules...you just choose to not accept them. that's fine. just accept that lebron is a douche and we will be fine.

How about this I love LeBron because he is a douche, and it will make people pissed if/when he wins. Down with the Tim Duncan's and D-Rose's of the world that's what I say.

the Juggler can attest to my nuttiness. It gets amplified when I'm in the midst of writing a journal article, because then I want to inflict misery on everyone.
