I saw that. Doesn't surprise me at all that that website crashed....it was all over facebook...and it seems like everyone wants a reason to dislike Harper, they've just been ignoring politics for so long that they don't have one...

This wesbite chronicles most of what is on shitharperdid.ca, but much more in-depth....http://unseatharper.ca/why-unseat.php ......lots of great info in the blogs section too (check under categories)

sadly tho ... the more negative stuff that comes out about harper - the more some people will want to vote for him ... :(

our only options of preventing a majority are strategic voting and/or the youth coming out ...

I think the negative stuff coming out from social media, and not from competiting parties, could undermine the Cons pretty effectively by the time May 2 rolls around...and could get more young people to the polls. We'll see.
I don't think strategic voting (or anything else), will prevent the Cons from winning my electoral district. None of the other parties even get a sniff here :( My NDP candidate is probably younger than me,and has less FB friends than me - doesn't bode well for his chances! ....My liberal candidate has a pretty impressive resume, and a military background (important im my district)...but faaaaaack...my strategic vote would be liberal (as in most parts of the country)...I dont think I can bring myself to do it.

You've made that pretty clear :P
I say let’s take ‘em out one at a time…we all know we're not going to see major change in our government (or any western country), without some sort of revolution - which will never happen until there is some sort of fatal economic collapse. So to me, it becomes about damage control....Harper’s time is up. He’s a right-wing zealot extremist war criminal, running a left-leaning country.
We’ll deal with the next db when his time comes…Right now, the importance of preventing a “Harper Government” majority cannot be overstated.

Can anyone speak to the legality of Harper running again? I’ve read a bunch of articles stating that he’s illegible after the contempt finding…

That’s right :) – I’m in St.Albert/Edmonton….St.Albert is one of the wealthiest cities in Canada, so you know they all vote with their wallets, (based on ideology more than fact, apparently)…. the Edmonton portion of the district (NW) is decidedly more middle-class/ less white bread, but is the closest part of the city to CFB Namao, so a lot of military families…
But yes….Strathcona is the district that’s home to the UofA…what a shock, eh?…the educated and the young are voting NDP ;)

    A little joke I received today... :lol::lol::lol:

A driver is stuck in a traffic jam going into downtown Ottawa. Nothing is moving north or south.
Suddenly a man knocks on his window.
The driver rolls down his window and asks, "What happened? What's the hold-up?"
"Terrorists have kidnapped Michael Ignatieff, Dalton McGuinty, Jack Layton, Gilles Duceppe, and Prime Minister Harper. They are asking for a ten million dollar ransom....otherwise, they are going to douse them with gasoline and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, taking up a collection."
The driver asks, "On average, how much is everyone giving?"

    "About a litre!"

If the pirate party or pot party or one of the fringe parties was running in my riding, yes they'd get my vote :lol::lol:. The election is 3 weeks in and they are all corrupt bullshitters, not 1 is willing to get out and separate themselves. I don't understand, you would think at least 1 party the parties would act differently and just tell me how they are going to make Canada a better place, instead every time I turn on the news it's all about how corrupt Harper is...duh...I think we know that already. Beside has it ever occurred to 1 of these bullshitters that that Canadians know you're all corrupt so that no longer resonates with voters.

It will most likely be either a PC majority or minority.

    THE CANADIAN PRESS

    High MP pensions
OTTAWA–The rich pension plan MPs set up for themselves over the years will see defeated MPs walking into the sunset with annual pensions as high as $167,000, for the six years required to qualify for a pension That's on top of a pension they receives from other Companies they worked for before or after their political career

Defeated Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer, 36, qualifies for minimum pension of $53,540, which he can begin collecting at age 55. By then, retroactive inflation indexing to the year he lost his seat will have increased Jaffer's pension substantially.
No wonder Helena Guergis who has been in Canadian House of Commons since 2004 wants to get Relected so bad.
How many Canadians will have a Pension like that with a life time of work.
How come no Leaders mention the Tax $ wasted on their PENSIONS .
6 Years give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let get rid of any new MP before they can collect it and get the $$$$$$ we save put into OAS, so every one can have a better Pension.

  • LMAO!!! OMG Shimmy that joke was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! Thanks

I've seen that Shit Harper Did website...brilliant!!!!

Lukin - in an election like this it's my opinion that not voting at all is basically the same as a vote for the Cons...it's saying you are not upset enough with anything that's been done to get up and do something about it...so they can keep on doing more of the same.
I hate Ignatieff too and I REALLY don't want to vote for the Liberals either....hell if they weren't Separatists and had candidates outside Quebec I'd vote for the Bloq lol. Gilles Duceppe is the only one of the 4 I don't mind. (cept for the Separatist views he holds).
I am going to take one for the country and vote strategically...and I REALLY hope you do the same Lukin.

If the Cons can lose some seats in their stronghold (Alberta) maybe that will send them a message!

Ok You wanna know how much distain Harper has for us.. How dillusional he REALLY is?? Please read that speech from when he was with the Reform Party. Yes it's a little dated, but my political views have not changed much since then...and I don't believe his has either.

Shame on us for not calling Harper out on this!!
