yea but why does it die on the last part?
thats not cool///once u have in cart it shouldn't crap out?

its one thing to never get through...but crapping out on the last step is a joke....and then they are removed from cart?
because the crashes clear out the carts-1,000 other people also put them in their cart-that is what causes the crash and the inability to checkout.
sometimes you get through, sometimes you don't
really that is all there is too it
Although I will say that it would be nice to avoid the time it sometimes takes to secure the tickets-but clearly the 10c is taking the position that you need to tough it out for an hour or two if you really want 10c tix.
I for one, think its worth the effort, especially for PJ shows.

This happened to me today, and untill it happens to you, you have no fucking idea how fucking much it sucks! This is my only real complaint also. FIX THIS PLEASE! When this happened, it was like a sick fucking joke. You think you got them only to be left out. It sucks getting your hopes up for failure. Server Failure!

Well when you have done this a few more times, you will come to realize that putting them in your cart is as meaningless as getting the buy button. You do not have tickets until the order is in your history.

Yeah, agreed! I mean, I'm not annoyed per se that I got shut out for tickets. As was said above, small intimate venue and a lot of demand. What pisses a lot of us off is that the server cannot handle the demand (for the past 8 years now) resulting in tickets being "removed" from our carts. Yes, removed. I and several others got a message saying tickets were removed from our carts after trying to go through the checkout process. How is this right? This isn't a new problem and yet 10c continues to ignore it.

when you are submitting your cc # you shouldn't lose tickets ...as happened to alot of us today

I had no idea that could even happen until it did to me today :-( so disappointing

With all due respect, most businesses are made more profitable by taking constructive criticism from their customers and changing to reflect those criticisms. There are solutions to each problem the original poster listed.

    1. Give us a date when we can expect our singles. A concrete deadline pushes accountability on the appropriate parties, and creates happiness amongst customers.

    2. Concrete deadlines once again.

    3. A digital download for those of us who paid $150 on a boxed set so that we can listen to the material at the same time as those who paid $20 to get it in a big-box reseller would be a kind and affordable gesture. Another option would be to figure out a more optimal means of shipping - clearly DHL International just is not the most expedient or affordable way.

    4. Clearly the bottleneck in the system of purchasing tickets through Pearl Jam's website is the server. I'm not an IT technician, just a nerdy kid, but it seems to me I had heard of on-demand hosting, where you 'rent' server storage/bandwidth when it is needed (ie. traffic spikes due to sales), and then revert back to hosting in-house. Or, better yet, just let a reputable company like Amazon Web Services or Godaddy host all the time, and pay per data transferred.

Tim came on the air and preached about positive change which is coming - I hope he wasn't blowing smoke. It would be so nice to see any of these ideas implemented. Some are harder than others, but points 1, 2, and 3 are all fairly straight-forward to implement.

It's all about perpesctive. Ive only been shut out of one show and that was The Vic. Lost count how many shows I've bought through TC. Most have always been a success. Did anyone even try to get Portland ticktets today? I was in and out in under 5 minutes with no problems at all. Ten Club is a great deal. Thanks TC. Fuck the haters...

I wonder if the band even knows...or cares...

i have been fighting off the thought of PJ simply in it for the money...but with this total lack of preparedness, it appears as if that is true...

well...i guess all of you 10 Club defenders would simply say...

    "Heckuva job Brownie"

The real complaint, as others have stated, is that credit card numbers are sent...where are my tickets?

  • I am horribly perturbed that I preordered a big expensive box from my favorite band that only diehards are going to order, and I don't have the music on release day. People with little more than a passing interest could pick this up and be listening to it, and that's cool...but it's also jacked up.

Ten Club is in a tough situation in regards to their ticketing situation - clearly, they can not ever have an allocation of tickets large enough to satisfy us rabid Ten Club members. I think the reality of the situation that most trying for tickets today will not have been successful is made harder by the frustration many of us encountered from the site's sporadic crashing.

    no holiday single...

    no super delux today...

(by the way got two emails about those and how sorry they were for the wait...how many emails will i get responding to my questions about today's fiasco?)

Dude, start your own thread with "Constructive Criticism" with this. Tell the bitchers (who in my opinion have valid points to bitch) not to bring it in there. You have valid points/good ideas that are gonna get lost in a bitchfest. I want to add to it too and I'm not stealing your idea!

I don't know if we can be sure about that. We have no idea how many tickets were available or how many people were trying for each show. We just always hear most from the people that didn't get tickets. Like you said though, TC doesn't have an Amazon bandwidth pipe, nor should they (you people screaming for better Servers and bandwidth have any idea how much such things cost?) and there isn't unlimited tickets. To bad people can't get their expectations inline with reality.

    true colors
what I have learned from today it that many of the 10c members only come here for exclusive goods and concert tickets and when they dont get either, they cry like three year olds. I am embarrassed at the lack of class.
Glad I don't converse, debate, or know any of you.

So just to be clear, your membership fee does not guarantee tickets. Got it? If you get them in your cart, the site may still crash out and you will lose what is in your cart. If you are not willing to endure the nonsense, you will not get tickets. So if you think that paying your fee somehow earns you the right to secure tickets, you are wrong. It doesn't even earn you the right to an operable server. It earns you the right to a shot at 10c tix.
Which, if you are somewhat educated, patient and persistent, can be had with a reasonable rate of success. Other than NYC of course, which is a total crapshoot due to the numbers.

The only problem is he is so damn popular that tickets are a little hard to come by. All you can do is try. But hey it's not over yet...if you want to see him that bad buy from a scalper. Can we all agree that the problem isn't all on 10C side of things? I've only experienced the occasional hiccup when it comes to getting tickets, and the tickets I try for are always in the high-population red zone.

Today we've seen people not realize the ticketing was staggered and dealing with what's being labeled as 'website issues' that could easily be prescribed to bad connections or shoddy computers.

It's not a perfect system, but not all the blame should be ascribed to 10C.

OMG all the whiners just need to pack their crap up and leave.

There are NO promises made regarding tickets. If you think you're entitled to guaranteed tickets, well you're in the wrong place. There are simply far too many members for everyone to get tickets to the shows they want.

Putting the holiday single together is extremely difficult. I don't care if I get last years single the following October for crying out loud. It's a freaking 45! Not many fan clubs still do that.

    Whine whine whine.

I feel privileged being a Ten Club member and would rather default on my credit cards before I let my membership lapse. In my opinion, PJ still has the best fan club staff and structure around.

The only thing I wish I could change about the 10 Club is the amount of jagoffs that seem to dilute what could be a great, great group of fans.
