I preferred camping out for 2nd row tickets in '98 to all this random selection bullshit.

I was front row in Melbourne in '03, but those 2nd row seats that I earned by sleeping on the ground over night were the most rewarding. No one gets to experience that thrill any more. Now it's all about the fast connection speed and the luck of the draw.

Aren't you front row right now? Or do I have you confused with someone else on FB? Are your initials JL?

I am 406xxx and got row i both thurs/sat nights (didn't count rows but sounds like it was row 16ish). thurs was middle of the row and sat got 4 seats from the end.

The problem isn't being x rows back, it's being x rows back and having empty seats in front of you. As I mentioned in the show thread, thurs night my friends brother photographed & bought a ticket on the spot, and got 6th row. This is what annoys me. Give us incentive to be in the fan club.

Also, don't say the allocation is random when it is not. Gives people false hope.

I agree. I liked the '09 tour because of this. I knew the earlier I lined up, the better position I would get. Give that dedication some reward.

E at canberra, that sucks then since it was double letters on the floor. I'm 439XXX and got TT, pretty decent considering and was surrounded by 10 clubbers.

I was just curious as to how big the venues have been so far in comparison to the Thebby in Adelaide. I saw some band a long time ago that I obviously wasn't all that interested in coz I was riiiiiiiiiiight at the back but could still see everything! It's a pretty small venue, I think it holds 1900??? Could be wrong about that? :?

Got RR on the floor in Canberra, then further back with U in the stalls in Newcastle. It is randomly random, as I am #213xxx. Paying more for the privilege of fan club seats would be my only complaint, unless they were all grouped at the front away from the bogans. Will see what Friday brings, one can only hope....but it doesn't matter as long as we get EV.

The theatre in Newcastle holds around 1500. Thebby is about 2000, so there's not much difference.
The State theatre in Sydney holds around 2500, I'll see how this one goes tomorrow!

Wow - I won't be complaining then. I'm 418XXX and had RR and then 4th row upstairs last night which I was pretty happy with. Good luck for Friday! May the randomness Gods shine upon you : )
