I guess we all thought we were a bit special. :?
I guess we all thought PJ would give up some allocated seating for us, as part of the Pjamily.
Ramdom seating means mixed in with the beaurocraps, THEIR family and some Hob Knob who needs their face in the newspaper.
Lets join hands and pray for us all...
Where did that 'Drunk Thread" go??.
See ya at the show! I'm the one getting thrown out for throwing my undies on stage.... ...not.
I'd love some anal. But honestly I don't give a fuck about tickets or where they were. what annoys me about this place is no one can say anything without getting fucking jumped on. For some reason we have to be grateful little fucking drones that pearl jam allow us to listen to their music. Thats what I find annoying about this place. No one can have an opinion or say what they fell, the guy was disappointed in the fact he got the same seats. He has every right to be.
You are the one using the words random and luck of the draw to shoot this guy down for having feelings. I just don't get why everyone round he has to jump on a guy for saying something. Not just in this situation but anywhere in this place it just seems to be that we all have to agree with how wonderful everything ten club and pearl jam do in general. Like all that need to be said is, oh that's a shame youre disappointed, but just remember some people actually missed out. But everyone always seems to be on the defensive straight away in this place.
I have to agree it is frustrating...i know i would be agitated with seats at first but then it passes over...i do agree some people are of the mindset that we have agree the 10c are doing such a great job....even when they dont...no ones perfect.... but the lengths some people go to can be a little bit absurd sometimes...but i guess you get that everywhere...but in any case the OP had his vent then said he/she was sorry but had to get it off his/her chest....no harm no foul.... now who wants a moustache ride!?!

Yah, Thats all I was trying to say. Anyway, back to watching freaks and geeks. I'll come back later and see if we get a confirmed set from tonight.
someone call me???i saw alot of "Greek way" at the thread :P
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

I think it was pretty obvious to see that I acknowledged my position. If anyone was bringing aggression here it was you missisles.
In all honesty, if people can't get their shit together enough to secure a ticket given THREE opportunities to do so, then you can't go taking that out on those who got tickets.
Save that for the scumbag scalpers who ate up a good number of the tickets - they need to all be gang-raped by a pack of rabid hyena!
One is allowed to show disappointment at something if they so desire - a person's disappointment is all relative to their position.
From discussions at the show tonight, it appears that the most likely outcome was that tickets WERE issued on seniority. There was somewhat of a trend of early numbers being up the front, and late numbers being down back. If that's the case and 10C had've stated it - then that's cool. But when you know your mates were Row 3, and you were Row 33 - you get somewhat excited in anticipation of the "randomness" of the draw to come good for you next time 'round. When it doesn't, it's a bummer.
Apparently though, everything I said about being happy for those who got up front, and being appreciative of still being able to go to the show was overlooked here.
as per the OP, I had a similar situation when I saw EV in Newark NJ. My seats were pretty far back, and last seat on the row against the wall. At the time it seemed like a big deal, since none of the people around me were in the 10c, and people I drove with were around the 8th row center, clustered with 10c folks.
Of course we are lucky to even get tickets and to be in the building, but the excitement and build-up while waiting in line to that "defining" moment when you get tickets in hand at the 10c window can skew your perspective.
In hindsight, it was an amazing show and experience, and my seating location is long forgotten. However, I remember feeling slightly shafted at the time.
37 PJ Shows, 3 EV Shows, 1134 Total Songs, 24 Different Openers, 9 Different Closers, 252 Unique Songs (never enough)

I 100% agree with you fishy.
And I'm going to be pissed if all my seats are at the back.....why? Because I want better.....it's EV.....I want to be near the front. Selfish? Fuck yes! I just had the rail three times in 2009. It's hard to go back. I don't think I'll complain too much because I knew the risk of 10c tix....but I'll still be pissed. And I don't care about people's friends who missed out blah blah blah. I only care about myself.
I thought it was a shame the tickets (seat allocations) are kept secret until collection, knowing prior I could have got used to the fact I lucked out with row 'R' lateral position, & at least prepared myself by bringing some binoculars. Once bitten......

It would be way too much work to email everyone with seat locations in advance.
Also, this would make people complain both before and after the show, instead of just after!
Imagine how many angry phone calls the 10C would get once the seat locations were revealed.
Firstly - if I got Row R both nights, while someone else got Row A both nights, I'd be annoyed.
It's pretty obvious that the tickets were put in the envelopes by QPAC ticket staff, not the 10c first hand. They would've been told "Go through this list of people, put 2 tickets in the envolope, write their name on the front, and out them all in a box".
Nowhere in the 10c email does it say "you will get different tickets each night". It just says "random allocation", which is what this is.
I think people's main gripes are to do with the location of the tickets, rather than someone getting front row twice. But we knew that going into it - it would not be "first ten rows blocked out for 10c".
I feel for those who got the same 20th row both nights. Then again, they got into the building, so can't be too picky.

I was waiting first in line on Thursday afternoon for 10C tix... QTIX staff were waiting for 10C staff to arrive with the enveloped tickets - and yes some PJ Staff I recognised from prior shows came up to the box office and handed over a tupperware container full of envelopes.
So I'm not too sure QTIX would have been involved with allocating seats - I can't see the point of QTIX putting tickets in envelopes, sending them all the way to 10C, then just having 10C give them back again.
It's more than likely that 10C organised with the promoter/venue to have a certain number of tickets allocated to 10C evenly across the floor, rather than the first 10 rows or whatever. It was probably the exact same allocation each night to make thing easier.
It then looks like 10C has allocated those tickets based on seniority - or at least consistently by some other means each night.
I'm 318xxx and the 10C tickets I ended up picking up were in row C, 3&4 on Thursday, then again row C, 1&2 on Saturday night.
Every other 10C member I spoke to had essentially the same tickets each night too. The lower numbers had better seats, the higher numbers had worse seats.
I got 12th row at Brisbane 1 which was not bad but I had hoped to do better.
If I don't get closer to the stage at Newcastle I'm not renewing my membership in November, it's as simple as that (and I don't care if I'm bitching).

What's your 10c number?
My no. is 336*** I joined in 2004.
I just looked at the email that 10 club sent me straight after I purchased the tickets and it says tickets are randomly chosen in advance. If I'd known that before I bought the 10 club tickets I probably wouldn't have used 10c.

I haven't brought ten club tix since 06. The are just not worth it any more. Like why pay almost $40 more in 09 for the privilege of being let into the venue 15 minutes before everyone else and still end up in the same place as non ten clubbers? And it seems people paid slightly more for Ed tix and got pretty ordinary seats, but they never promised the sent seats in the house, it was always random through out the venue, which is why I didn't risk it but tried for a ticket with the general public sale.
