Yah she is great and a Huge PJ fan and her family is great we had twins 3 months ago and her family have been awsome and Easter was a blast. So are six month old twins old enough to go to a PJ show
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys! Did you spend this year's Easter vacation in Greece?
Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 2025
No we had Greece over at my place for Easter We lived in Crere for 5 months back in 2003 ahh man those were the days
It must have been wonderful right? Red eggs, lamb and dancing in traditional Greek tunes for hours. I know man. Crete is a very beautiful island and not only in summer. I stayed one week in Chania during the summer of 2007. It was amazing! I have also some relatives there. Beautiful moments...

We will make a lamb on my spit and my mother in law will make fresh spanakopita
Most excellent!
I make a great Kapama dinner for 2. Can't wait for the Greek Festival here in Halifax June 9th - 12th. Wish the Pearl Jam show was during the Taste of the Danforth August 5th - 7th in Greek Town, Toronto.
Deep down I'm somehow hoping the Vancouver show would be the next Friday? Then maybe I can hit Sask, Calg, Edm and Vanc
You think they would ever toss in a Kelowna, Kamloops or Penticton show?
Hey guys......we might be getting a little ahead of ourselves here. Has anybody in Saskatchewan or Calgary heard anything about a concert announcement???? I haven't. But I see people are already posting dates for Calgary and Saskatoon concerts they would like to see happen......but with no proof. Maybe we need to take a step back, take a deep breath and not get too ahead of the game here.
Don't get me wrong.......nobody wants to see them play in Saskatchewan more than me, but with no rumors floating around Saskatchewan right now, and the fact that they didn't sell out Sask Place last time........I wouldn't be holding my breath for any Saskatchewan shows.
That being said..........f*ck I HOPE they play Saskatchewan.

It sure is looking like it...
Hmmm, looks like a long trip.

X 92.9 (Calgary's Alt-Rock Station) has 2 concert announcements Monday. 1 of them being at 10 MST. I would buy a beer for anyone that confronts me on this tour about it if that's not PJ. As far as Sask goes, I hope they are playing there as well. I was planning on doing Winnipeg west, but if there isn't a Sask date, I can't really justify doing that. And I don't like losing 2 shows on a tour...

That is a difficult stretch of cities to do. The only realistic way to do that appears to be flying (with the exception of the Calgary-->Edmonton trip). Am I missing something or are you looking at 4 or 5 flights to do Winnipeg through Vancouver?

With a lot of long days of driving, I think it can be done. It obviously does depend on dates in between shows. Nothing is set in stone yet, but that is what I will be attempting to do.
My friend's convieniently scheduled his wedding for September 16 in Toronto; I live in Calgary. I'm gonna aim for five shows; I'd settle for even two or three, but I've got the tour-followin' itch and I cannot frigging WAIT until Monday (if that's when news comes down, of course...).

Wow. I would love to hit a few of those shows but those drives look long and boring... not sure I could handle that. I might just come out for the two Alberta shows.

They should come play in Windsor. Then it would be like playing Detroit too, kill 2 birds with one stone. Hell, London is no better than Windsor, skip there play here please
i support this. i love roadtripping from toronto to windsor, it may be a long drive, but once you get there everything is dirt-cheap! and it's only a cheap bus ride to cross the border to see the red wings (preseason).

That works out almost perfectly. You can come out a week early for the wedding and see 3 or 4 shows in Ontario. Then head back to Alberta right after the weeding and catch a few shows out west!

Well that sounds promising for a Calgary show! I just can't see one happening here. Is there anyone else from Sask on this board? Has anybody heard anything on the Saskatoon or Regina stations?
I am originally from Saskatchewan and frequent some boards with a lot of Saskatchewan users and needless to say I have heard nothing. When a band /artist of the nature of AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith or Keith Urban come Saskatchean gets excited, for Pearl Jam not so much (see Saskatoon 2005 show attendance, very piss poor).
Saskatchewan (love my home do not get me wrong) has the lamest taste for music I have heard, either country or crap bands like I just mentioned. The radio stations back home are super weak and play crap 24/7.
Not saying PJ is not coming back just I am not shocked there is no buzz like other cities in western Canada. I knew of the PJ show in Saskatoon because someone I was friends with someone who had an in at the CUC.
I think they should play Regina as it is a super small venue and they could sell it out, sadly PJ is not very popular with most Saskatchewan people, BUT I know some people who lost touch with PJ and went to the 2005 show and loved it. So maybe another trip will open up more eyes.
Regardless Calgary for sure for this guy and Vancouver (always a good show).
My fiancee just left me, and if anyone wants to come over Monday morning for a beer during the announcement, I could use the company!
No sympathies required, it's for the best..
Sorry to hear, but the randomness of your post made me chuckle.
Been there done that and it was for better for me as well, take care.
I am hoping for one Saskatchewan city, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Regardless Calgary is for sure and if it is not a Saturday/Friday night I will be going to the city that has a Friday or Saturday night show.
That sounds like a plan! I could do all those cities, and I am glad it made someone chuckle. Sorry to vent it out here, but PJ has been in my head non stop since yesterday!
Excited for the fall! It's something to look forward to!
