So, um, can I bring my camping trailer or not? I'm off to the RV show in the morning.

Does anybody know of a nearby campsite where you can park an RV? Preferably one within walking distance to the venue. I am guessing the parking lot camp area will not take RV's. Campsites in the parking lot of alpine will sell out fast...

not positive on how the whole RV/camping thing will work. There are a bunch of private lots around the venue that you can camp in, so maybe one of those would work for an RV.

dont worry it wont be, it's a festival type show.

Good luck with that logic. I don't know know how Pearl Jam and a few of their friends playing over 2 nights constitutes a festival. To me it sounds like 2 nights of normal shows with a couple of opening acts. If you think it will be a free for all rush with seats you are kidding yourself.

Could've sworn that Jeff referred to it as a "first version of what this festival could be like." Sounds like he's expecting it to be a festival...

Thank you for all the laughs I got after reading 19 pages of pure comedy. I would like to add a few questions to this debate. I wont mind if it is held at Alpine since my favorite PJ show there "ICE BOWL", and my first was there as well. With it holding 37000 seats do you think they would have the pull to sell as many seats via 10c first? So if 37000 10c members bought tix that would be it. It would not be open to Gen Pop. Also do you think that they would let you buy more than one ticket like usual. I personally would hope that you could only buy one ticket so that it would be 37000 pearl jam faithful, not 18,500 pj fans and 18500 girlfriends or boyfriends. I think that the energy would be unreal if it was 37000 10c fans. One last thing quit complaing about seats, its all about the music.

i can't see this being a 10c only weekend bash if it's at alpine valley seeing as how live nation owns alpine valley music theater. 10c will probably get 8%-10% of the tickets like they always do for arenas and amphitheaters here in the states.

i knew about the canadien tour two weeks ago.mike had talked to someone and told them that.
That is old news too. ;)

End of summer...not sure exact date ...which weekend but end of summer

    It def. Is alpine valley

And............our friends north of the border....will be very very happy

I can say no more....but get ready for a little hockey action

First of all we all already knew end of summer and pretty much all guessed Alpine Valley so in all essence that same little birdie has visited all of us already which leaves your bit of news useless in my humble opinion, especially in terms of trip planning.

Everybody guessed it....I'm confirming it for sure

And nobody was ready for my north of the border comment

    Just read this whole thread.
I'm glad I was able to enjoy the speculation, unlike some doubters. :)

    Here's my thoughts/addition to the speculation/wishlist  :

    Alpine Valley - yes
    Aug. 26-28th - yes
More than 50% 10club tickets. (10c know how big of an event this is going to be, they know that people are going to flip shit if they get shut out- they will negotiate for more tickets.)
    2 concert tickets per person.
Part seniority based, part lottery (more lottery rows than normal).
Tickets will be expensive but will include transportation from Chicago airport, ORD.
    Camping - yes.
more than their normal set. more "like" Mansfield/PennState/SpectrumPa.

Disclaimer: This is all my opinion. ;)

EDIT: If you are driving from NJ/NY/PA let me know... I don't know if I'm gonna fly or drive yet...
