Not a true festival, but other bands big enough to headline their own tour, with a festival type atmosphere. Not your standard 1 or 2 opening bands then PJ, but multiple bands through the day before PJ closes the evening.

Just curious if the OP knows for sure that this is the Official 20th Anniv show.
Could it be just one show of many in a tour?
I can't really imagine why the show would be in Wisconsin.
Not to offend anyone from there, but out of the entire country it seems there would be countless logistically better locations.

They were shooting for middle of the country so both coast could attend without having to travel across the country.
Good luck with that logic. I don't know know how Pearl Jam and a few of their friends playing over 2 nights constitutes a festival. To me it sounds like 2 nights of normal shows with a couple of opening acts. If you think it will be a free for all rush with seats you are kidding yourself.

haha, free for all rush with seats you are kidding yourself,,,,,,, will NOT be that at all!!!
So, only a 24 hour, 1,700 mile drive from my house. Perfect...
and a 30 hour 1900 mile drive for me
or
$800 for 2 round trip tickets
sorry eyed, unlost, BD, thrilla, 81, RYE...not going...I can't afford it....$1200 just to get there and tickets, unless somebody really does want to chip in for a RV to rent and drive.
you can drive it for ~$400 in gas.
I highly doubt Mr. 4/20 will be able to take off enough time for us to drive...we already hate the trips to Montana...600 miles, over 3 mountain passes, and 10 hours in the car....not fun...and what else is there to see from montana to wisconsin?
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
I know this Neily person has posted rumors in the past, along with The Jeagler...however I cant remember if any of them have turned out to be true? Anyone remember?

gotta be more interesting than I65 in indiana. holy boring turd
anybody that knows how PJ books their tours, knows that they book, then they announce, and you seriously expect us to believe that you know they are touring Canada at the end of summer? 6 months from now? I don't think PJ even knows what they are doing 6 months from besides the anniversary show, I don't buy this at all. Wait till after Mike and Jeff's band tour, and Ed tours Australia in March, then I think Pearl Jam will decide what they are gonna do.
My guess it will be like seating for the Bridge School concerts, but based on seniority.
My guess is that those 7,500-10,000 pavilion seats are going to be VIP priced. Much higher than the GA seats. I've said this from the beginning that people will be priced out and disappointed at some aspect of this event and that these cries will be heard louder than at any other time in this forums history. People complained about $20 dollars for a year. Wait until you see these price differences. There is no way that the venue will allow a chaotic rush into the seating area. You will need tickets. That's how fights break out and injuries occur.
Believe what you want but this will be an organized event and not GA.

normally I would agree
But with all that activity, the anniversary and the movie, I would think they need to plan ahead a bit more than usual. Plus, I think they are looking to cash in on the anniversary and movie hype. The amphitheaters in the US have tight schedules due to the shorter season. They have to at least hold tentative dates. And ugh, who know what could happen if the media starts jumping on the anniversary story.
nice to see you guys you talking in hundrends $ i must talk in thousands $..
and this flight with 2-3 change planes..is about 22-26 hours...
1. We fly to chicago via london on british airways dude... 14 hours 750 Euro... then rent a car and drive to the gig... (1-2 hours)
2. Fly to New York 13 hours and drive via Toronto for the film festival... 18 hours drive....
An FYI for out-of-towners, especilly those travelling from thousands of miles away - don't arrange your travel plans around the TIFF. Tickets for TIFF events are next to impossible to get. And with the huge number of PJ fans wanting to attend the screening of PJ20, my guess is that a couple hundred will get lucky at most and everyone else will be left out...

This sounds pretty close to what I'd imagine. There's a trend towards separating class in every society and with split membership fees there's your yardstick for 10c to decide hom many first class or VIP tickets to sell. I mean if people are willing to accept 100% rise in 10c membership they'll pay more for anything on offer. This is all very exciting so far this year but there's a lot of complaining to be done between now and the first setlist thread of the PJ20 weekend.
Like a book among the many on a shelf...
Dublin 02 Arena - 22/6/10. Belfast Odyssey Arena - 23/6/10. London Hyde Park - 25/6/10. Berlin Wuhlheide - 30/6/10.
Manchester MEN - 20/06/12. Manchester MEN - 21/06/12
I can't imagine it being a general admission thing no matter where it's at unless it actually is a bonnaroo-type festival (which it apparently is not going to be), but I don't understand what logic leads anyone to believe that it will be seniority based
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

I think the price will depend on the support acts. But I agree, they will be over $100 a day. I suspect your prediction will come true.

That is proababy correct, no way the whole venue will be GA, just lawn seats. If there are going to be lots of different high profile bands there, then I don't think it would be far-fetched to say these seats will be at least a few hundred dollars a ticket. $400 even?

I'm am sticking with this will not be any kind of festival at all. It will be just like any regular show PJ has ever played before. Maybe a couple special guests showing up during their sets, but nothing more. Tickets will probably be a little bit more costly than regular shows, but not much more.
Think about it... most PJ fans are not apart of this board or this club. When they start to advertise this gig they are going to want to sell to the general public as well. If they charge twice the amount as any other show all of those casual fans are going to be like 'WTF why is this so damn expensive?" and then they're not going to go. And those people's money is just as important as ours is.
And no way in hell is Pearl Jam or the venue going to allow general admission seating in the pavilion. That would be pure anarchy. Nothing good would come of that at all. And I really don't want to hear a Love Boat Captain Part 2.

Way over $100 per day. One PJ show now by themselves is pushing $100. I am thinking closer to $400 mark per person like VIP Bonaroo prices are.
