    Probably 5 inches down with probably 15+ to go.. 50 mph winds..

    Think I'll go for an evening jog. It helps get the adrenaline running. 8-)

    The snow is coming down HARD!! And its windy as heck out there :? Lights are a-flickering, not a great sign...uh I hate winter :evil:

    We haven't got the snow yet, but it is starting to get really windy here. I can handle all the snow, I am not liking these winds though :?

    The wind is sort of nice, half the drivewaay is still snow free. Backyard, not so much. 3 ft drifts already back there

    Piddling 8 inches or so as of right now, and anticipating sleet and freezing rain in the morning. Should make for hard-packed ice by midafternoon. Glad I'm off this week...

    Our agility training facility collapsed after the big snowfall last week (fortunately nobody was inside at the time, amazing considering the number of classes and private lessons...) Don't know what we're going to for training for the rest of the winter... :(

    I disagree. During the Blizzard of '78, there was a snowdrift in our driveway that completely covered both kitchen windows in my parents' house.

    The kitchen was on the second floor.

    The weird thing was, one part of the driveway was scoured nearly clean. That was a hell of a storm. Classic Nor 'Easter meets major snowfall meets unusually high tides.

    Wiped out houses in these parts. No school for two weeks. Cars abandoned on the highways. Mr. Unlost's parents had 8 feet of the Atlantic Ocean in their cellar _ nearly a block in from the beach. And my brother and his wife were evacuated via National Guard from their house.

    Somehow, nothing has seemed that bad since. Of course, I'm not in Chicago tonight... ;)

    Just for fun i went out to check out things. Sokid two feet at the end of the drive, thanks plow guy.

    8 inchs at the midway of the drive and next to none up top.

    After ten minutes i came in and my beard was full of frozen snow.

    When it started to snow....
    They called me on my nextel and said BRING IT IN!!!!!!!

    It basically took me 2hrs to get about 12 miles.....

    But once I got back to the yard.....I stuck around a couple hours trying to move trailers(so they could be emptied), and plow the yard.....

    3 of us TRIED to keep up.....But after 2 hours we realized we couldnt keep up with the snow and the drifts that were forming in the yard.......
