I go shopping once a week, so there's no need for "stocking up". I have yet to experience a storm where roads were unpassable for more than a day or two.
Actually, the big storm we had a few years ago with similar amounts, I drove 25 miles home during the heart of.. It took 3 hrs, but I made it. No starvation in my car.
Roads will be fine after a day or so, so long as you dont park on a side street in the city. I drove down there once a week after a storm and the residential streets were still a mess
stocking up on food goods & whatnot brings back memories. i miss that. one day i will be snowed in while in a cabin up in the mountains. i will be with a wonderful female named misses snow angel or something.
she will chop wood. she will stack the firewood. wood will be everywhere, believe me, it will be. these are facts. but wet wood never burns. always remember that.

um... im a doorknob

That's what they said with the last storm...14 inches of snow later
That John Bolaris was Money last storm
remember when he predicted the "storm of the century" back in the mid 90's and we got like 2 inches? my high school canceled school the night before...

Yeah, and he had to leave town because of it.
yeah. i'm actually confusing that with another one from around '95 or so when they predicted about 8 inches and we got barely anything.
his wikipedia page is funny. right after his bio is a section called "Storm of the Century."

God fucking damnit. This is the worst. I've had 2 days of classes in the last two weeks because of this shit.
And to your second part - why? Because he was right?
forecast says we're getting 10-15 inches here in the Detroit metro. Gotta finish all the errands and ensure we got food, gas for the blower, flashlights, etc...I hate snow
I wish I was an alien at home behind the sun..... I wanna race..with the sundown..I want a last breath..I don't let out...

....especially after half a foot of snow.
that's the best time to have it. if you know freezing rain is coming, don't shovel the snow. serious.
i'll take the freezing rain after snow every day of the week. do it before snow and you ahve a major cluster.
I wanna race..with the sundown..I want a last breath..I don't let out...
