Making my dad a FF CD. He likes some of their stuff and I told him I'd make him a CD. I included both the big singles, lesser-known singles, and some deep album cuts that are terrific. Here's what I have that fits 80 minutes:

    This Is a Call
    Big Me
    Monkey Wrench
    My Hero
    Everlong
    Breakout
    Learn to Fly
    Aurora
    Next Year
    All My Life
    Times Like These
    Best of You
    DOA
    The Pretender
    Long Road to Ruin
    Bridge Burning
    Rope
    Dear Rosemary
    Walk

    Thoughts?

Had to take these out because it went over time:

    February Stars
    Stacked Actors
    Resolve (sorry Rico)
    These Days

Get rid of Big Me, My Hero, Learning to Fly, and Long Road to Ruin (overrated radio songs)

Add in Alone & Easy Target, Hey Johnny Park/My Poor Brain, Low
Already made it. He's a big hits guy.

You gotta start at the beginning. i love running through a bands catalog from start to finish. Really shows how the band matures and gradually changes over the years.

This is fantastic. Just saw it in the theater tonight. If Dave Grohl doesn't make you want to get up off your ass and start a band then you have no pulse. Fantastic film

No. The guy is flat out the coolest man in music. Wait until you see the painting he has of himself hanging in his home studio.
I'd also reccommend the interview he did with Mark Maron for his wtf podcast. It's like 90 minutes long and Grohl is hilarious. Tells lots of good stories.

  • I think my next concert road trip will be for the Foo. Seen them live several times, but always in Winnipeg. I want to see them at an outdoor festival again (they played one in Winnipeg back in the day, I think around TCATS).

Just downloaded Sound City last night off iTunes (not showing in my city at any theatres). Can't wait to watch it tonight!
