Who's talking about making guns illegal?

    Nobody is.

    Carry on.

But come on... a pretty damn good effort compared to some of the other ones out there. When you don't have much to work with... you have to use whatever you can think of. I mean... how does one make their case given the amount of weight the other side of the issue carries?

True. I've become quite used to people's tactic of making shit up, considering I've been debating the Israel-Palestine issue for a long time now. I mean, when they have no argument, the only obvious recourse is to spin a web of half-truths, obfuscations, and outright lies. It's quite an effective method, if only because it forces their opponents to do some research into the subject, and most people just can't be bothered.

I thought about this... I know plenty of people that do their own reloading.

I guess they would have to ban the materials at this point, which I can't see being possible.

Right we have let this issue get so far out of hand it is not going to be a quick fix. Like illegal immigration. The failure to tackle the tough issues only makes them tougher, but at least someone else will have to deal with it.

it could be argued that these folks are responsible gun owners. Gov could still regulate/restrict the sale of these items as well.

Are they not talking about banning Assault rifles and high capacity magazines.......

and people do speed through school zones.....I am sure the amount of people that speed through school zones are much higher than the number of crazy's that go out and shoot innocent people......

Yeah, I can imagine why that would be a huge inconvenience for you.

So as far as you're concerned, there's no problem then? School massacres are just a part of life, like traffic accidents, and cutting yourself shaving in the morning?

I almost admire your tenacity and persistence. I mean, it must be a constant struggle of Phillip K. Dick proportions trying to reconcile Fox News and debbieschlussel.com with the real World. I wonder which one will crack first?

62 School Age Children Murdered in Chicago So Far This Year

Chicago has the strictest gun control in the nation! It is a total bloodbath of criminals with illegal guns slaughtering people.

62 school aged children were killed in Chicago this year alone. Obama did not shed a single fake tear for these victims.

Same here, Hugh. My tears were real as well. It's a proper and normal response to such a tragedy. I would never suppose someone's weren't. To say so otherwise is.... nnnn- bite my tongue.

Who cares about Chicago's strict gun control laws? What does that have to do with anything? With no uniform gun laws for the entire country... it's not that hard to take a little drive to an easier location to obtain the gun you want, when you want it, and only be slightly inconvenianced.

Your country has a very unique and unparalleled problem: 10,000 deaths per year by gun.
    Most by far.
Your country has the most guns per capita than any other country: 89 per 100 people.
    Most by far.

Every country has bad guys, mental illness, and video games.

It's a wonder nobody wants to come live here. I have no idea what we will do when we have too few people to run the machines.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
  • Now you got firefighters responding to a scene getting shot and killed.

    http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12 ... e#comments

Armed firefighters? Armed neighbours come out of their houses with their assault rifles and provide cover for the firefighters to put the fire out? Then... everybody scurry back into their homes?

Geez, man. To argue against gun control has got to be one of the most asinine positions a person could take- it's almost 'cult like'... to be so obtuse to the reality of the now.

Take some responsibility: get the fuking guns off the streets. You won't get them all right away- I'll concede that; but by eliminating ammunition sales... you can curb much of the anticipated (slightly paranoid) problems in the short term.

In 20 years though... when the well has dried up... your kids will be able to send their kids to school with much less fear in everyone's hearts and firefighters can respond to a scene and not get shot doing so.
