I was watching the German Gran Prix last night and saw that tire fly off Webber's car and somehow make a direct hit on the only guy in pit lane that wasn't wearing a helmet!

    :o

Looks like he survived but damn that had to hurt.

Also the only guy who was looking the other way!

    You know that felt nasty.

PS Yes he survived, fortunately minor injuries only I believe.

Seems like a stupid place to allow a cameraman to wonder around anyway.

We don't want to be missing pit-lane action!

I think the rules for media in the pits have changed since this incident.

A Canadian came up with the perfect solution several decades ago. I know I will watch more F1 based on the following test footage of this personal protection equipment ...

I remember when Vettel won for STR in Monza in wet weather conditions, and being happy for STR to collect what will probably be their only win ever. Had I known how many wins he'd end up taking...

Would be nice, but I don't think the current pecking order is going to change.

    True.
And Alonso and Kimi are not known for being team players.
I dont see Kimi letting Alonso pass to get points.

Id love to see them get into a fight in the pits!:lol::lol:

It's possible! I like them both, so hopefully not :P
I haven't watched the last couple of races. Pretty much done with the Vettel/Newey show.

I do not see Alonso being that close. I really like Kimi and I hope he outclasses Alonso next year to the point Alonso wants out of the team :D:D:D

I am a big Kimi fan but it isn't happening. Alonso IS that good.

Sad News, Michael Schumacher had a skiing accident, apparently he hit his head on a rock, was in a coma when arrived at the hospital and I hear has undergone brain surgery.

Report says he's in critical condition.

I've never cared for auto racing. I'm one of those guys who likes to quote George Carlson about how people only watch it to see people crash and burn. It's a huge waste of fuel in a peak oil world.

But then last week we watched John Frankenheimer's 1966 film "Grand Prix". Whoa!

So ok, sometimes I'm wrong- sort of anyway. I still think NASCAR sucks but maybe there's something to that I don't get as well.
